From Russia running out of missiles to Zelensky running out of road
I launched this substack on a hunch that the Western narrative of Russia running out of missiles was disinformation. I saw the narrative unravel in news reports and now it is nearing its logical end.
After unraveling for 2 years, it can no longer be covered up. If you watch the latest video by Alexander Mercouris, you will understand why I say this. Alexander is a master of the English language and also a thorough geopolitical and military researcher and a brilliant analyst.
In this presentation, he skillfully recites the recent history of the very successful Russian campaign, proving beyond a doubt that not only is Russia breaking through the Ukrainian defenses along the entire combat line but that the Ukrainians are running out of everything, both manpower – which they have foolishly squandered by defending the indefensible – and equipment, which they simply could not defend against superior Russian weapons, air superiority and operational tactics.
And let’s not forget the nightly air strikes that are irreversibly nipping away at Ukrainian power -- to the point that much of the country’s electrical power, needed to power the trains carrying manpower, equipment and ammo to the front, is now irretrievably gone. Replacing the damaged utilities would cost the number of billions spent on arms to prop up the Kiev regime.
After a long detailed discourse that zeroes in on his target, Zelensky, he tells us the sad tale of how a hysterical Zelensky has come to the point of screaming at his generals and making a fool of himself before the diplomats of allied states who have agreed to meet in Switzerland to hear his foolish “peace plan,” which is based solely on his own fantasies rather than on the facts on the ground.
He reminds us that even the unrealistically optimistic West is now admitting that even the promised Western-supplied weapons will be insufficient to make a substantive difference in strategic terms, particularly in the absence of sufficient troops to man them.
Mercouris sums it up by comparing Zelensky to a man operating a train with no access to the brakes but only to the accelerator. He concludes that Zelensky is now aware he is running out of road, mirroring the incompetent West’s narrative that Russia was running out of weapons.
It looks a lot like game over.
