Mainstream media are the pathogens that infect us with the mental disease of West-think
I said that what I call West-think is a distorted view of the world based on unproved irrational assumptions. I also mentioned that this distorted view – which affects the majority of Westerners.
The main cause, or pathogen if you will, that causes West-think is the mainstream media, which propagate these assumptions. But to be more specific, they are assumptions based on lies – including lies of omission, exaggerations and subtle nuances – fed to you 24/7 by the media, which is controlled by the US federal regime, which in turn is controlled by the psychopathic Neocons in charge of US foreign policy, but also, in large part, our domestic policies – although there are plenty of aiders and abetters of these Neocons, in the places you’d least expect, notably the churches, which mightily support US foreign policy based on the doctrine of "Christian" Zionism, which is largely responsible for the genocide in Palestine but also for most of our wars (because there is a subliminal suggestion in this sick doctrine that the decisions of the regime Neocons are somehow a manifestation of divine will).
A very important component of the media is the search engines, most of which bring up only, or mainly, the results the sneaky ruling elites want you to see. Here’s an example of the working mechanism by which you are infected 24/7 with the pathogens responsible for causing your malady.
I stumbled across an article from msn hyping the reports from Ukraine that there’s been an increase in civilians deaths since the stepped up Russian air attacks.
Obviously, the Neocons in the federal regime would like you to hate Russia because THEY hate Russia. Reflecting this desire to poison your mind, they omit the many criminal ways in which Ukraine has been attacking Russian citizens and, especially, the Russian speakers in Donbass since 2014, as I demonstrated beyond a doubt with links to photos and videos of the carnage unleashed by the US-controlled Kiev regime, NONE of which was reported in the msm, and in fact, the few brave reporters who went to Donbass at that time and reported this were threatened with punishment by their governments. So if they wanted you to think there was no genocide, why would they ban reporting from there? Obviously, the combined West wanted to goad Russia into invading and they wanted to be able to lie and say it was an unprovoked invasion. And that is exactly what they have been saying since then.
Now recently, according to Russian reports, Ukraine has been deliberately attacking civilian areas in Russia such as Voronezh and Belgorod, and also Donetsk. People were killed. This stands in contrast to the Russian air strikes, ALL of which targeted facilities such as military weapons production plants and places housing troops, officers and mercenaries.
And yet, here is how the search engines controlled my search for “Ukraine attacks civilians in Russia.”
The engines controlled by msn and other pro-government groups brought up no news at all on Ukrainian strikes on Russian targets, although that is what I asked for.
One search engine brought up 8 reports solely on Russian strikes on Ukraine – none on Ukrainian strikes on Russia.
One NYT article that came up was titled “Russia repeatedly attacks Ukraine’s civilians.”
Needless to say, no news of the attacks on Voronezh, Belgorod or Donetsk came up. This is disinformation by omission, and this kind of omission is essentially routine in news relating to Russia and Ukraine.
As I was surfing the news without a search engine, I stumbled across only one article that mentioned the many attacks on Russia by Ukraine. It was from The Independent and said that Russia claimed Ukraine sent at least 12 drones across the border to attack Voronezh and Belgorod. And yet, in the msm reports on Russian attacks on Ukraine, no reporter said that Ukraine “claimed” it was attacked or claimed Russia had killed civilians. And the problem is that Ukraine LIES about damage caused by Russia so I suspect that many of the reports on “Russian” strikes on civilian areas were in fact hits by Ukrainian missiles that missed their targets and strayed into civilian areas.
The most famous case of this was the missile strike that crossed the border into Poland and killed two Polish farm workers. Zelensky immediately shrieked that the missile was Russian. Then when an investigation concluded that it was NOT a Russian missile, and Polish president Duda, NATO mannequin Stoltenberg and US White House mummy exhibit Biden all announced publicly that the missile was most likely a Ukrainian one, incredibly, in the face of this unanimous announcement, Zelensky kept repeating the scripted line that the missile was Russian and that Article 5 of the NATO charter must be evoked, declaring that NATO was at war with Russia. (Which would have plunged the world into a nuclear WW III, scaring the crap out of the combined West. His insistence also was a slap in the face to those leaders who demented his lie. It is no wonder the West is sick of brazen Zelensky).
After this, smart people everywhere knew that reports about missile damage to Ukrainian facilities and civilians must be viewed with a jaundiced eye. Despite this embarrassing episode, however, the Western press kept pretending they believed all such reports from Ukraine and no msm journo dared to precede such reports with the words “Ukraine claimed…” And of course, the rules of West-think manipulation mandated that, when the spirit moved Western reporters to mention Russian reports of Ukrainian harm to civilians, they must dutifully preface the report with “Russia claimed that…” Normally, however, such reports are to be spiked in compliance with the rules of West-think management.
Now, how is it that I am receiving news of Ukraine’s misdeeds and of Russia’s policy of attacking only militarily relevant targets and other taboo news reports that upset the rules of West-think management?
Ans: I read the Russian press.
My routine search process:
1-Translate the search request into Russian (you can do this using Google Translate, which does a decent job)
2-copy the translation and paste it into a browser.
Then, for those who do not read Russian, copy and paste the resulting titles into Google Translate and have some of them translated into English. Then sift through the titles until you find one of interest that you want to read, and then bring up the article and, either read it in Russian or, if you don’t read Russian, use Google Translate to get a working translation to read in English.
If you do this, you will find a remarkable difference between strictly English search results and the results of the Russian language search.
Another point that must be kept in mind:
Whenever Ukrainian air defense missiles miss their target and fall on civilians and civilian structures, the sneaky Ukrainian authorities and their media mouthpieces lie and claim that the damage was caused by a Russian missile or drone.
A good rule of thumb is to check out any attached photos. If the image depicts a large building that is only very partially damaged, this was probably caused by the smaller Ukrainian air defense missile. A large Russian missile will destroy the better part of the building. Either way, the report from Ukraine will swear and declare the damage is due to a Russian missile, and the Western reporter will go right along with the gag, providing you with the story that matches their narrative of Russia bad Ukraine good.
Of course, you can also read the air strike portion of my daily newsletter to see if a Russian missile did in fact hit a civilian structure. Not infrequently, the Ukrainian high command will commandeer a hotel, and you may see a photo of a hotel with most of the façade blown away after the attack. Yes, by a Russian missile. And this will be dutifully reported by the lying Ukrainian side as a strike on civilians.
So how can the Russians know that a hotel, for example, has been used by the Ukrainian forces to house military personal?
That’s disarmingly easy. There are disgruntled Ukrainians all over the country – men who are scared to death they might be forcefully gabbed on the street and sent to the meatgrinder of the front lines, and women who are scared to death their husbands, boyfriend or sons or brothers might be snatched for the meatgrinder. Or Ukrainians who are sick and tired of the Ze dictatorship that has cancelled the elections, banned the opposition and offed residents who – like Gonzalo Lira, dared to oppose the regime.
Further, most Ukrainians, even in the areas where the majority speak Ukrainian as their mother tongue, can read Russian web sites and sympathize with the Russians and/or see the Russians as their only hope of peace and a return to normal lives.
Among these people is a flourishing 5th column that will, if possible, share the coordinates of strategically relevant facilities with the Russians.

Two reports, same strikes
Translation follows with my notes in bold and in [brackets]
Russia launched a devastating missile attack on targets in Odesa and Kharkiv
17.01.2024
The places of deployment of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including foreign mercenaries, were hit.
According to Russian military correspondents and the authorities of Ukrainian territories on social networks, today, January 17, last night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike in the central and southern parts of Ukraine using ballistic and aviation missiles, as well as kamikaze UAVs.
According to military analyst Yuriy Podolyaka, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched another significant blow to Ukraine using Geran drones. "First of all, objects in the Odessa region were hit. At the same time, Iskander ballistic missiles struck the Kharkiv region, including the frontline Vovchansk. Kh-59 missiles also hit an object in the Kirovohrad region," Podolyaka said.
The official channel of the Ukrainian Air Force published warnings about Russian missiles heading to Odessa and about 20 drones attacking facilities in Kharkiv. [Kharkov in Russian]
Military correspondents report the destruction of the places of deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Local authorities and telegram channels confirm devastating strikes on the center of Kharkiv. Posting a video of a destroyed house in Kharkiv, the mayor claims that the Russians attacked a residential building. However, military experts claim that this house was the location of the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was the target of the strike.
"With such destruction in the 'residential building', the Gauleiter Terekhov does not claim a single ONE KILLED!! (With two accurate hits on houses). Can you imagine this in a normal residential building? I can't either. There can be only one conclusion here.
Either the house was "non-residential". Or residential, but they lived there "not very peacefully", and the enemy constantly forgets to talk about the heavy losses (after such strikes) in their alleged "news," Yuriy Podolyaka comments.
On social networks, Ukrainian users report explosions and a fire on Shevchenko Avenue in Odessa, where units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were temporarily stationed in one of the houses, and the destruction of several objects in the port of Odessa. [This report and Podolyaka’s comments confirm what I wrote in my below article about West-think]

The Russian army attacked a camp of foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kharkiv. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense on Telegram.
The strike was carried out by high-precision weapons on the evening of January 16. As a result of the attack, the building in which the mercenaries were located was completely destroyed, the Ministry of Defense noted.
We are talking mainly about mercenaries from France, the Ministry of Defense said. As a result of the strike, more than 60 people were killed and more than 20 were taken to hospitals, they added.
On January 17, the Russian military department reported the destruction of a fuel depot for the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The targets were hit by missile forces and artillery and attack unmanned aerial vehicles of Russian groups of troops.

Really?
Trump says he will solve the horrible Israel situation very fast if re-elected
Trump contributed mightily to the current disaster in Palestine.
He brought "peace" in the ME with the Abram Accords by strongarming dictatorships to "normalize" relations with Israel. He bribed the dictators to accept Israel even though 90% of their people wanted nothing to do with Israel, due in part to their knowledge of Israel’s crimes against Palestine. As a result, the Palestinians suffered even MORE because instead of solving the problem, the entire West plus ME swept it under the rug and pretended it was not a problem any more. THAT is how Trump will "solve" the crisis, supporting criminal Israel and saying "see? No problem."
But of course, Biden may be WORSE. Who knows?
The race is on!
To the bottom that is.

Our thanks to Regis Tremblay for this
I'm very proud of this short video which I made immediately after my first trip to Russia in the Fall of 2016. It is still relevant 8 years later! If you haven't seen this, it is worth watching. You will hear what Russians think about Putin, life in Russia, LGBTQ, and Russia US relations. And, you will discover the amazing cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as discover Crimea and the truth of Crimea returning to Russia.
Since this first short video I have made over 500 films, videos and podcasts about Russia, the Russian people, life in Russia, its amazing history and culture. I have done this in an effort to present modern day Russia in a positive light and NOT the "enemy" of America or anybody else.
