Navalny really was a crook, but his crime against the Russian people was the most egregious of all
The Russian government didn’t just fabricate the charges against Navalny. These were real crimes, including fraud, as you will read below. But his worst crime: trying to destroy Russian sovereignty.
As explained below, Navalny was involved in a Soros-backed regime change scheme. He was trained as a foreign agent at the Yale World Fellows program in the US, which was keen to have Putin thrown out.
But Putin has the trust and the votes of the vast majority of Russians, who basically don’t know who Navalny is and do not support him. (See the article on Navalny’s approval polls below).
US-backed regime change is the reddest of red lines for the Russians, the most dangerous crime of all. The Russians remember what the US meddlers did in the 90s, nearly bankrupting the country and then bringing NATO to their borders and threatening their existence.
For those who may have forgotten, here is a reading list of the attempts of the US to destroy Russia in the 1990’s:
Have we already forgotten the CIA’s rape of Russia during the 1990s?

The above 3 links to articles on the attempted destruction of Russia in the 90s all came from a search done with the Yandex search engine using the search words: US attempt to destroy Russia in the 90s.
If you do a search using Chrome, none of these articles will come up because they are too “pro-Russian,” ie, truthful and straightforward.
Go ahead and try it. Then try Yandex and see the dramatic difference.
I strongly recommend when searching for articles on any topic related to Russia or any other country that our country considers an “adversary,” a “challenge,” or an “enemy.”
The US government in the “land of the free” seeks to keep you as unfree and as ignorant as possible. The Neocons who rule over us in obedience to Israel tremble at the specter of an intelligent populace,
This Neocon rule is not to your benefit. For example, an ill-informed public that is taught to hate and fear powerful countries like Russia, China, Iran, etc, brings the world closer to WW III than an intelligent public that views the world from all angles.

Su-25 attacked the camouflaged forces and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction
MOSCOW, February 17 – RIA Novosti. Russian attack aircraft hit camouflaged forces and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction, the Ministry of Defense reported.
"
“Attack aviation crews on Su-25 aircraft carried out a strike with unguided aircraft missiles against camouflaged enemy equipment and manpower in the Donetsk direction. The strike was corrected by forward aircraft gunners,” the department said.
To prevent the enemy from launching MANPADS missiles, the planes performed a “snake” maneuver, shooting off false thermal targets, and then returned to their home airfield.
“We took off as a pair from the home airfield, entered the target area, entered the combat course, attacked the target with unguided aircraft missiles from a nose-up, after which we performed active maneuvering going deep into our territory. Landing at the departure airfield without notice. <…> Worked out perfectly.” , said the pilot with the call sign Lemur.
As the gunners reported, the target was successfully hit, the Ministry of Defense added.
…
Keep in mind that whenever the Russian forces kill troops or mercenaries or destroy equipment with standoff weapons, these are kills that do not involve any KIAs or wounded or any equipment losses on the Russian side. The Ukrainian side has almost no opportunity to do the same to the Russians (in those rare instances when Ukraine uses standoff weapons, it is mostly just to kill civilians (although it does rarely hit fuel depots or airfields), so the overall balance is favorable to the Russians, who can be expected to win the war despite the disinformation from the West.

Aleksander Navalny was actually a convicted felon, but his most egregious crime was betrayal of the Russian people
https://dzen.ru/a/Zc9nFIdTxQpsdGbS
History of criminal cases and sentences of Alexei Navalny:
2-16, 2024
The Kirovles case
In the spring of 2011, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a case against Alexei Navalny under the article “Causing property damage without signs of theft.” According to investigators, as an adviser to the Kirov governor Nikita Belykh, he “through deception and abuse of trust” forced the State Unitary Enterprise Kirovles to enter into an unfavorable agreement for the supply of wood with Vyatka Forestry Company LLC. Later, the Investigative Committee reclassified the charge as “organizing the appropriation of someone else’s property on an especially large scale.” The damage was estimated at 16 million rubles. In July, the Leninsky District Court of Kirov sentenced Alexei Navalny and his business partner Pyotr Ofitserov to five and four years in prison; in October, the court replaced the sentence with a suspended sentence.
Replacement of probation
On January 17, 2021, Alexei Navalny returned to Russia from Germany after treatment, and was immediately detained at Vnukovo airport in connection with violations of his probation in the Yves Rocher case. On February 2, the Simonovsky court replaced Navalny’s suspended sentence - Alexey was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in a general regime colony. Navalny ended up in the correctional colony IK-2 in Pokrov. A month later, he went on a hunger strike due to the fact that doctors were not allowed to see him. Navalny was later transferred to the in-patient department of the regional hospital for convicts in Vladimir due to his poor condition.
Fraud case
On March 22, 2022, the Moscow City Court found Navalny guilty of fraud on an especially large scale and contempt of court. According to investigators, legal entities associated with Navalny collected more than 500 million rubles from citizens in donations, which the oppositionist spent for personal purposes. In August 2022, Navalny was found guilty and sentenced to nine years in prison.
The case of extremism
In April 2023, several more cases were opened against Navalny - about organizing an extremist community, financing extremist activities, creating a non-profit organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens, as well as money laundering. The cases were related to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (recognized as a foreign agent and an extremist organization in Russia) - according to investigators, the fund was created “for the purpose of carrying out extremist activities aimed at changing the foundations of the constitutional system, undermining public security and state integrity of the Russian Federation.” In August 2023, Navalny was found guilty on all counts and sentenced to 19 years in prison in a special regime colony. [This crime will sound abstract and incomprehensible to many Westerners, but it is actually the worst crime by far because it is aimed at overthrowing the Russian state and replacing it with a regime controlled by a foreign government (the US), creating a situation similar to the economic crisis of the 90s].

Brothers Alexey (right) and Oleg Navalny, accused of stealing money from the Yves Rocher company.
What is the essence of the Yves Rocher business?
On December 30, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow issued a guilty verdict in the Yves Rocher case. Alexey Navalny was sentenced to 3.5 years of suspended imprisonment, Oleg Navalny - to 3.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. As Alexei Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh said, an appeal against the verdict may be scheduled for April.
Brothers Alexey (right) and Oleg Navalny, accused of stealing money from the Yves Rocher company.
What is the essence of the Yves Rocher business?
Cases regarding Alexei Navalny. Case file regarding Alexei Navalny. Dossier The so-called “Yves Rocher case” against Alexey and Oleg Navalny for fraud and money laundering was opened on December 14, 2012. Many enterprises suffered from the brothers’ activities, the largest of which is the Yves Rocher company.
According to the investigation, the Navalnys committed crimes according to the following scheme: Oleg Navalny, being the head of the Domestic Postal Department of the FSUE [Federal State Unitary Enterprise] Russian Post branch, convinced clients to refuse cooperation with this company in favor of the third-party “Main Subscription Agency” (GPA). He said that the GPU would handle cargo transportation much better. As a result, clients who initially turned to Russian Post ended up signing a contract with the structure created by Alexei Navalny. The cost of GPA services was significantly higher than market prices. At the same time, the agency itself was not actually involved in cargo transportation; it was carried out by third companies at a lower price.
[Essentially, to explain it in different terms, Alexei was abusing his authority as the head of the national post office to make a quick buck by claiming (falsely?) that the PO could not handle all the postal traffic generated by certain businesses and then channeling their traffic to a company owned (or at least operated) by the Navalny brothers. That is fraud. On top of that, their ad hoc company was charging more than the national post office, causing users to lose money. Yves Rocher was the hardest hit. The fraudulent Western media censor this important information, leaving the Western public under the impression Navalny was as innocent as the fallen snow]
Results of the investigation
On October 29, 2013, Alexei Navalny and Oleg Navalny were finally charged in the Yves Rocher case. According to investigators, the brothers stole over 30 million rubles and legalized [laundered] over 21 million. They spent most of this amount on their own needs.

Yale Fellows
In 2010, Navalny was accepted to the Yale World Fellows Program, as one of fewer than 20 approved candidates out of over a thousand applicants. As EIR has reported, the Yale Fellows are instructed by the likes of British Foreign Office veteran Lord Mark Malloch-Brown [President of Soros’ Open Society Foundation, a regime changer] and representatives of Soros's Open Society Foundations.[9] What's more, the World Fellows Program is funded by The Starr Foundation of Maurice R. "Hank" Greenberg, former chairman and CEO of insurance giant American International Group (AIG), the recipient of enormous Bush Jr.-Obama bailout largesse in 2008-09; Greenberg and his C.V. Starr company have a long record of facilitating "regime change" (aka coups), going back to the 1986 overthrow of President Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines. Navalny reports that Maria Gaidar told him to try for the program, and he enjoyed recommendations from top professors at the New Economic School in Moscow, a hotbed of neoliberalism and mathematical economics. It was from New Haven that Navalny launched his anti-corruption campaign against Transneft, the Russian national oil pipeline company, specifically in relation to money movements around the new East Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline. The ESPO has just finished the first year of operation of its spur supplying Russian oil to China.
[Maria Gaidar is a Russian Jew who renounced Russian citizenship to go live in Israel but then changed her mind and migrated to Ukraine]

Doctors tried to resuscitate Alexei Navalny* for more than half an hour
February 16, 09:19
Doctors spent more than half an hour trying to resuscitate Alexei Navalny*, who died today in a colony in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. According to SHOT, the ambulance arrived seven minutes later from a branch of the Labytnang City Hospital in the village of Kharp [in Siberia], where IK-3 [IK is a Russian acronym for correctional colony] is located. The distance between them is less than a kilometer.
The doctors quickly proceeded to Navalny* (this took another two minutes), at which time the medical staff of the correctional institution was already carrying out resuscitation measures. The doctors continued pumping out Navalny* for about half an hour. However, at 12:17 (Moscow time) he was pronounced dead.
Putin was informed about the death of Navalny* in the colony
Let us remind you that today, February 16, it became known that Alexey Navalny* died in a colony in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. According to the regional Federal Penitentiary Service, after a walk in IK-3 “Polar Wolf” [nickname for the correctional colony] in the village of Kharp, he felt unwell and lost consciousness. Resuscitation measures did not yield results, and the ambulance doctors pronounced him dead. Navalny* was 47 years old.
In August 2023, the Moscow City Court sentenced him to 19 years in a special regime colony for creating an extremist community. He was also found guilty of financing extremist activities, public calls for extremist activities and involving minors in activities dangerous to their lives. [It was always clear to Russian officials that Navalny’s final aim was to overthrow the Russian state and make it subservient to Washington, just as it did Ukraine. Russia knows the US wants to rob Russia of its sovereignty]

The proposed arms delivery includes MK-82 bombs and KMU-572 Joint Direct Attack Munitions
The proposed delivery is still being internally reviewed by the administration
WASHINGTON: The Biden administration is preparing to send bombs and other weapons to Israel that would add to its military arsenal even as the US pushes for a ceasefire in Gaza, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing current and former US officials.
The proposed arms delivery includes MK-82 bombs and KMU-572 Joint Direct Attack Munitions that add precision guidance to bombs, and FMU-139 bomb fuses, the Journal reported, adding that the value of is estimated to be “tens of millions of dollars.”
The proposed delivery is still being internally reviewed by the administration, the report added, citing a US official, who said the details of the proposal could change before the administration notifies congressional committee leaders who would need to approve the transfer.
The US State Department and Defense Department, Israel Defense Forces and Israel Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on the report.
As of December 2023, the Biden administration had skipped congressional review of weapons sale to Israel twice.
The Biden administration has faced criticism for continuing to supply arms to Israel as allegations pile up that American-made weapons have been used in strikes that have killed or injured civilians.
The war in Gaza began when Iran-backed Hamas sent fighters into Israel on Oct. 7, killing 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and seizing 253 hostages, according to Israeli tallies.
Israel’s air and ground offensive has since devastated much of Gaza, killing 28,775 people, also mostly civilians according to Palestinian health authorities, and forcing nearly all of its more than 2 million inhabitants from their homes.
