Yemeni missiles reach the Indian Ocean: escalation in its third stage
Cape of Good Hope
The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Mr. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced that the armed operations had entered another phase in which the alternative maritime route to the Red Sea would also be targeted. After he confirmed that the missiles were now reaching the Indian Ocean, to prevent ships from crossing towards the Cape of Good Hope. This Yemeni escalation to isolate the occupying entity from the east of the map complicates the entire international scene, not just the region. It seems that the Israeli intention to storm Rafah may make the support fronts more heated, with the conflict extending to the place that the American administration fears at this particular time.
Support operations during the last week amounted to 12, during which ships and barges were targeted with 58 ballistic missiles and drones, in the Red and Arabian Seas and the Gulf of Aden. Mr. Al-Houthi revealed in his weekly speech that the attacks "this time reached unprecedented extents, with 3 operations reaching the Indian Ocean, bringing the total number of targeted ships and barges to 73 ships."
This escalation reveals a number of facts that are now on the table for those concerned, primarily the American-Israelis. Expanding the targeting area to this point, and the intention to provide fire coverage for an area more than 1,000 km away from the Yemeni coast, indicates that the Yemeni armed forces possess these capabilities. On the other hand, the British-American military operations in the Red Sea and inside Yemen to stop the attacks, caused their number and strength to increase and the theater of operations to expand.
There are those who debate Sanaa's military ability to complete these attacks and achieve them with the required accuracy, especially since there are a number of obstacles it may face, including the American-British military battleships present in the region. Meanwhile, Mr. Houthi’s announcement of 3 operations carried out so far in that region, and the shipping companies’ admission that ships were hit, closes this discussion. In addition to the statement of the official spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, that the armed forces began “to expand the scope of their operations against Israeli ships or those linked to Israel to include the Indian Ocean via the Cape of Good Hope route... We warn all ships linked to the Israelis not to pass through the Cape of Good Hope route lest they become a target.” A project for our forces.” He stressed that “3 operations were carried out against 3 Israeli and American ships in the Indian Ocean using a number of naval missiles and drones.”
While the evidence will be broadcast on news bulletins in the coming days, if “Israel” does not respond to the three Yemeni conditions: a ceasefire, the entry of aid, and the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip, which will force the cessation of Yemeni military operations.
On June 20, 2022, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz announced the existence of a new joint regional air defense network, known as the Middle East Air Defense Alliance (MEAD). Few details were available, including which countries were prepared to place devices. Israeli-made sensors on its territory to facilitate combating the threat of missiles and drones.
According to a report published by the Wall Street Journal, the group's first official meeting was held in the Sharm El Sheikh resort. The newspaper reported that the Israeli Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi, attended the summit, as did the Saudi Chief of Staff, Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili.
The agreement is based on establishing unified communications systems that connect all early warning sensors deployed by the participating countries. This system will be overseen by US Central Command, and will allow real-time early warning of emerging aerial threats, such as armed drones or ballistic and cruise missiles.
The agreement proposed that the Yemeni island of Socotra be a possible location for Israeli sensors. In fact, this agreement has not yet entered into force. While the arrival of Sana'a's hand to that island located at the intersection of the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea, and the region adjacent to it, will force a recalculation again, in light of the intention of the coastal countries to remain publicly neutral, and the lack of intelligence information the United States has about Yemeni armed capabilities.

THE IMPACT ON KIEV WAS MET WITH A QUIET: “HAS IT STARTED YET?”
The Russian army dealt a powerful blow to Kyiv, knocking out a number of military warehouses where air defense missiles were supposedly stored. This shelling was met with a quiet: “Has it started yet?”
As the Ukrainians themselves say, Russia has not dealt such a powerful blow for a long time. Eyewitnesses talk about strong fires in the areas that are hit. And someone wrote in the comments: “Has it started yet?”
According to preliminary data, ammunition and missiles for Patriot air defense systems were stored at the affected warehouse. Having lost them, the Ukrainian Armed Forces significantly weakened their defense.
Military expert Alexander Ivanovsky believes that this is only a prelude to a large-scale bombing of Ukrainian military targets. At the same time, he believes Kyiv will get hit the most.
At one time, the enemy concentrated military warehouses and production specifically in the capital region, believing that it could be protected by American Patriots - most of them are in Kyiv. But, as practice shows, American air defense systems miss Russian missiles.
Explosions last night also occurred in the Odessa and Nikolaev oblasts. There is information that in the Odessa oblast, as a result of the arrival, 11 foreign military specialists were killed - mainly British and Czechs. According to the Tg-channel Win/Win, the British were supposed to replace the missilemen in Mirgorod (Poltava oblast).
The two senior officers were to formulate and detail the flight missions for the Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles. Our troops hit a building in the port of Odessa near the ship repair yard. There was just a presentation of the newly arrived officers, the message says.
In addition, the Russian military destroyed the bridge in Zatoka, through which there are supply routes for the southern group of enemy troops and its forces in the Donbass. This is not the first time this crossing has come under attack. Ukrainians have already restored it in the past.
Later, information appeared about a strike in Kharkov. Russian missiles hit a military facility, but local media and TV channels are trying to pass it off as a strike on civilian buildings.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Su-25 attack crews launched a massive attack with guided aircraft-lsunched missiles on Ukrainian strategic targets in one of the areas of the special operation zone. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the Ministry of Defense.
“Attack aviation crews on Su-25 aircraft carried out a strike with unguided aircraft missiles against camouflaged enemy equipment and manpower in the zone of responsibility of the Center group of forces,” the statement said.
The main photographer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Fedosenko was killed by a Russian air bomb on a tip from Starlink
After completing the combat mission, reconnaissance drones confirmed the defeat of the target, and the aircraft released heat traps and returned to their original positions.
Let us recall that Russian strike aircraft have become the main deterrent to the Ukrainian offensive in 2023. Helicopters and aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces still cause serious damage to enemy forces today, during a large-scale offensive in a number of directions. Thus, before complete liberation from the yoke of the Kiev regime, attack aircraft systematically destroy enemy fortified areas in Chasov Yar, Avdeevsky area, as well as in Volchansk near Kharkov. After aviation training, attack aircraft will be in position to clear the area from the enemy.
Earlier, Silavoy Blok reported that Russian troops encircled a thousand-strong group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia is ready to give a decisive response to the first attack by Ukrainian warplanes

Ukraine, by striking Russian territory, is trying to show its loyalty to the West ahead of the conference in Switzerland. Moscow will give a decisive response to these attacks, writes GT. Analysts believe it could use both military and diplomatic means.
After a Ukrainian warplane attacked a target inside Russia for the first time, Chinese experts said Kyiv's move was an attempt to demonstrate its loyalty to Washington and Brussels in order to gain more support and assistance in the future. However, Moscow's response will not be long in coming.
A Ukrainian military source told Sky News that on Sunday, a Ukrainian Air Force plane struck a "Russian command center" near Belgorod for the first time. What type of ammunition was used in the attack and whether it was a Western weapon is unknown.
This was a direct attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian territory, which had previously repeatedly attacked the enemy using drones.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, in an interview with CBS, noted that American weapons have already been used to strike Russian territory. His statement came just after Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed on May 31 that President Joe Biden had authorized Ukraine to use American weapons to strike Russia. [A little-known fact is that the Kiev regime has been using US weapons to attack Russia in depth for months before this permission was given. Thus it is nothing but PR for public consumption and has changed nothing]
According to Cui Hongjian, a professor at the Academy of Regional and Global Governance at Beijing Foreign Studies University, Ukraine is striking deep into Russia because it is the only way it can show its loyalty to the United States and Europe and get more help from them in the future.
Cui noted that at the “peace summit”, which is to be held in Switzerland on June 15 and 16, Ukraine hopes to gain new diplomatic leverage, so it is now creating the appearance of an improvement in the situation on the battlefield.
As the Ukrainian Armed Forces begin using military aircraft and will soon receive F-16 fighter jets, Ukrainian strikes against Russian military targets could become even more unrestricted, analysts said. They noted that against this background, more decisive and active actions are expected from Russia.
According to TASS, the Russian company Fores will pay 15 million rubles, or $168,000, for the first downed F-16 fighter. Western countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium plan to supply them to Ukraine.
It appears that Ukraine is currently trying to engage in more active military action to improve the situation on the battlefield. In this case, Russia's best bet is to continue to stick to its strategy and achieve its goals using both diplomatic and military means, Cui said.
“Now is perhaps a decisive, but even more difficult time for Russia,” he said.

U.S. Claims Israel 'Accepts' Ceasefire Plan, as Israel Kills Dozens of Palestinians, w/ Said Arikat
RACHEL BLEVINS
JUN 11
Hamas says it will accept the ceasefire deal passed by the UN Security Council, and the only problem seems to be... Israel. While the talks were ongoing, Israel killed another 40 Palestinians in Gaza, as the confirmed death toll soars past 37,000 Palestinians killed and nearly 85,000 wounded by Israel's genocidal war in 8 months, with thousands more buried under the rubble.
Veteran Palestinian-American Journalist Said Arikat noted that if Israel supports this ceasefire and hostage deal (as Blinken claims), then why did they carry out a massacre last weekend, in which they killed hundreds of Palestinians and three hostages (including an American citizen), just to rescue four hostages, who would have been released in the forthcoming deal?

Foreign media: What consequences could the current elections to the European Parliament have for the EU?
June 10, Monday
French President Emmanuel Macron dissolved the lower house of parliament. This happened after the defeat of his Renaissance party at the pan-European level. The coalition it was part of lost the elections to the European Parliament, gaining, according to preliminary data, a little more than 15% of the vote. This result was recorded against the backdrop of a record turnout over the past 30 years. The victory was won by the far-right National Rally party, founded by Marine Le Pen. She received twice as much voter support as Renaissance. In addition to France, the right is leading the elections in Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium, whose prime minister has already admitted defeat to his liberal party and resigned. The world's leading media are discussing what consequences these elections to the alliance parliament may have for Europe. Read more in the review of the foreign press on Kommersant FM.
The first results of Sunday's European Parliament elections showed that the political landscape is being redrawn. Far-right parties ranked first in France, Italy and Austria and second in Germany and the Netherlands. If the preliminary results are confirmed, they will become a reproach to the political mainstream in Brussels and will introduce uncertainty into the future of the whole of Europe, writes CNN.
Von der Leyen: the majority in the European Parliament will be pro-Ukrainian
CNBC adds that while most major parties in the alliance are likely to retain their seats, the balance of power will play a big role in shaping European policy over the next five years. Immigration remains at the center of the political agenda. The publication, citing analysts, reports that right-wing parties will take a tougher position regarding borders and those arriving from countries outside the European Union. Climate policy and the flagship Green Deal are now in question, as are renewable energy sources. The alliance may shift its focus to supporting cheaper supplies. Due to some EU countries' ties to Russia, Ukraine's support and defense strategy will likely change as well.
Like Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also suffered, with his Social Democrats party achieving its worst ever result of 14%. As CNN notes, the European Parliament elections are a de facto referendum on the current national governments. And the results could spell trouble for Macron in the 2027 French presidential election and for Scholz in the 2025 German federal election.

In turn, the French media call Emmanuel Macron’s decision on early legislative elections an adventurous leap into the unknown for the country. The general trend was broken by the countries of Northern Europe, points out the British The Guardian. The far-right coalition has seen its support erode amid the success of the left and green parties. But the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, whose European People's Party took first place in the EU parliament, has announced her intention to build a bulwark against extremes on the left and right. “The center holds,” The Guardian quotes the politician as saying. [Unfortunately, von der Leyen is very pro-Ukraine. However, the war is not going well for Ukraine and Russia is the crucial factor in that]
