Russia is prepared to destroy Western-supplied arms including the F-16s
If indeed air combat occurs, it won’t be anything like the dog fights of WW I and II. The Russians will launch long-range missiles from the air at enemy fighters whose pilots won’t even see them.
Here’s your daily missile strike update for May 24, 2023

Air alert announced in two oblasts of Ukraine and Kyiv
Air raid alert declared in Chernihiv and Kyiv oblasts of Ukraine, in Kyiv
MOSCOW, May 24 - RIA Novosti. An air raid alert has been declared in the Chernihiv [Chernigov in RU] and Kyiv oblasts of Ukraine, as well as in Kyiv city, according to the online map data of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation.
[Ok, by now Ukraine should be getting nervous. Western aid was unable to save Bakhmut or the Patriot air defense system. They should be wondering if the F-16s will make a difference. The Russians are sure they won’t]

AIR COMBAT WITH F-16. RUSSIA IS ALREADY PREPARING A SUPER BLOW, AND SPECIAL MILITARY OPERATION ZONE IS NOT THE MAIN ZONE OF DEFEAT
Air combat with American F-16 fighters is just around the corner. Russia is preparing a super strike, but the zone of the special military operation will not be the main zone of destruction. [If indeed air combat occurs, it won’t be anything like the dog fights of WW I and II. The Russians will launch long-range missiles from the air at targeted enemy fighters whose pilots won’t even see the Russian plane. They probably won’t miss]
Foreign media have revealed "top-secret" information: they say that Russia is creating a squadron of aces so that it can deliver super strikes. Even the name is disclosed - "Storm".
This elite aviation unit will belong to the Russian Aerospace Forces. Its main goal is an air battle with the F-16, that is, fourth-generation American fighters.
Prerequisites
The creation of new units that can give a powerful rebuff to the enemy is a necessity for Russia. Earlier it became known that Germany supports the sending of long-range Taurus cruise missiles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The range of their destruction is up to 500 kilometers.
Partners of Ukraine must now go for broke, said the expert of the Christian Democratic Union, retired colonel Roderich Kiesewetter.
In his opinion, Taurus will be "a useful contribution from Germany." He called on other Western states to send to Ukraine everything that the alliance, if necessary, would use itself.
There should be no more red lines here, Kiesewetter says.
At the end of the G7 leaders' summit, which was held in Hiroshima, US President Joe Biden said that F-16 fighters should not be used in combat operations in Ukraine. In any case, [it is to be used] in the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which has been preparing for more than a month.
The owner of the White House assured: his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky swore an oath not to use the F-16 to advance into Russia. However, Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser to the President of the United States, distinguished himself a little later. He made it clear: Yes, Washington is opposed to Western strikes on Russia, but Crimea, according to Sullivan, is not Russian territory. [But since Russia considers it Russian, the stages is now set for WW III. See my opinion piece Biden just signed off on WW III]
The British are still in doubt. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was asked directly whether the use of the Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles transferred to Ukraine would be limited to the territory that Kyiv and London consider Ukrainian. The politician did not give an answer. [His non-answer is an answer]
Russia is preparing a superstrike
The chairman of the presidium of the All-Russian organization "Officers of Russia", Major General Sergei Lipovoy, in a conversation with Tsargrad, assessed the rumors about the creation of an elite special forces unit "Storm" by Russia to strike at important and complex targets and battles with F-16s.
This is no longer news. Our Aerospace Forces have been working on this for a long time, and we are taking measures adequate to the current situation. If NATO has now put forward a serious armored group against us and is creating an air fist, then we must respond accordingly. Therefore, a decision was made to create such a grouping that could successfully work both against the air component and against the ground. On the territory of Ukraine there are a large number of armored vehicles of various types - we will have to dispose of them, Lipova stated. [Note that the expert is holding his cards close to his vest in this interview, which provides few details as to the nature of these preparations. However, we know that Russia conducts daily missile strikes and recently, they have been using the slower missiles and their drones, which enables them to stock up on their hypersonic missiles—which could be used in the missions referred to by Lipova. The Russians are also destroying radar and air defenses so that the more-vulnerable slower missiles will be less likely to be shot down. Look for a massive strike after the F-16s and other newer equipment arrives from the West.]
He called it a rhetorical question how long it would take for this disposal. According to the assumptions of the major general, much less than for the training of Ukrainian pilots to use the F-16. At the same time, Russia has all the necessary resources.
"We, unlike NATO, unlike Ukraine, have everything necessary for this," summed up the source of the "First Russian".

Biden’s Frankenstein in Ukraine
Responsible Statecraft recently ran an article entitled What does the fall of Bakhmut really mean?, in which George Beebe is quoted as saying
“… I think a lot of Western military experts, including Pentagon officials [my italics], have long been urging the Ukrainians simply to mount an orderly withdrawal from Bakhmut to preserve their men and munitions for use in more important battles in the future.
But Zelensky essentially overruled that advice [amphasis added] and decided that they were going to send more troops — including some of Ukraine’s best troops — to try to keep Bakhmut. He made quite a theatrical display of this. You recall when he came to Washington last December, he came carrying a flag from Bakhmut taken from the defenders there, which he quite ceremonially gifted to the U.S. Congress as a symbol of Ukraine’s determination to hold the city and beat back Russia’s forces. Well, all that failed.
So even the Pentagon had been urging Zelensky to pull out of the meat grinder, but he refused, eh? (Just a small caveat here: I had never read that anyone in government advised Zelensky to pull out of Bakhmut, and can’t help but wonder whether this piece is not intended primarily as cover for the president who brought the world closer to nuclear Armagedddon than any before him. Just saying).
At any rate, assuming this administration really did try to urge its puppet to quietly leave Bakhmut before taking out over half the male population of Ukraine and embarrassing the clown in Kiev and the Neo-clowns in Washington, let us remember that creating Frankensteins is nothing new for Leaders of the Free World.

Reagan, for example, established ties with Manuel Noriega as part of his war against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, in an effort to prevent communism from spreading further in Latin America.
The US had had an interest in grooming the ambitious Noriega early and sent him to “study” at the notorious School of the Americas School of the Americas in 1965-1967. The SOA was known for preparing young leaders to overthrow governments and is said to have included torture tactics in its curriculum.
It is significant that the “accidental” death of Noriega’s predecessor strongman Omar Torrijos occurred during the Reagan administration. If you ask any cab driver in Panama how Torrijos died, he is likely to say he was killed by Reagan. It doesn’t prove anything, but that is the impression many Panamanians have.
Noriega succeeded Torrijos, who was considered benign and beloved by Panamanians (except for the oligarchs), but Noriega had a malign reputation, was more feared than loved.
According to the NYT, “As Vice President, [George HW] Bush established a working relationship with Noriega, which included the trafficking of drugs and arms.
“The CIA was involved in the trafficking of drugs and support for right-wing military dictatorships in Latin America had been US policy. This event in Latin American history demonstrates the contradictory nature of US political ideals and foreign policy objectives.”
Though maintaining the alliance with the US, Noriega also had close ties to anti-American countries, ie, Cuba, Libya and Nicaragua. This is where the Frankenstein turned on his master. Bush, like his former boss Reagan, had always turned a blind eye to Noriega’s drug trafficking until the ties with the communist leaders became too conspicuous to hide, and so in 1989, Bush ordered the invasion of Panama and had Noriega arrested, supposedly for drug trafficking.
According to the documentary The Panama Deception, the troops murdered thousands of innocent civilians in their effort to capture this one man. This massacre is well known here in Panama.
Other presidents whose Frankensteins turned on them – ie, sock puppets who eventually refused to kiss Washington’s derriere – were Augusto Pinochet and Saddam Hussein, both of whom had been groomed to do Washington’s dirty work but later decided to strike out on their own.
Each one of them wound up with their buns in a sling and died as enemies of the US.
If indeed the US did warn Zelensky to pull out of Bakhmut and he refused, then he has a strike against him. If he keeps kicking off the traces much longer and giving Biden a black eye, he could share the fate of the Frankensteins that preceded him.

Our thanks to HS for this:
Hi Don -- While I generally agree with your assessment of the Frankenstein monster analogy, I don't think the Noriega story is right. Note that the quote you have asserting that Noriega was working with HW Bush on drug trafficking came from the New York Times. The argument that Noriega was a drug pusher was concocted after he refused to allow the Contras to be trained in Panama. While Panama was used by the CIA in its Central American drug operations, there was never any evidence that Noriega was personally involved, or benefited from the drug trafficking. When he was put on trial, after the invasion, the U.S. was able to present no evidence of his involvement in drugs. You may remember the story that there was a basket full of cocaine in his house -- this later turned out to be cornmeal for tortillas!
Noriega was a patriot and a nationalist, and was viewed by the CIA and Bush as an obstacle to their Contra schemes. Further, he insisted that the U.S. not back away from the deal to return the Canal to Panama. That's why Panama was invaded.
Oliver Stone was planning to do a movie on this, based on a book that exposed the role of the CIA drug operations in Panama, and the lies and slanders against Noriega. I met his producer in L.A., who was married to one of Noriega's daughters, and had an interesting chat with the two of them. Stone did not end up doing the film, due to harassment of investors by U.S. government officials, and pulled the funds from the project. It was an example of what happens when the official narrative is challenged.
If you are interested, I can try to find the book, and my notes from those discussions. Needless to say, while Bush was involved in drug running in Central America -- remember Shackley, Mena, Arkansas, etc. -- he could not tolerate a leader who refused to allow his country to be used as a base for the Contras.
Again, this is a minor point, and does not distract from the main point you are making in this piece.
Best greetings,
…
Me:
I can't argue with you on that point. I would like to hear more about your chat with Noriega’s daughter. I don't have any evidence either that he was a drug runner. I do know that the Panamanians were scared to death of Noriega and thought he was a killer and had a lot of dissidents put to death. I never spoke with any locals with a different opinion of him.
I know a lady who was introduced to him personally at work. She said she was scared to death he might harm her.
And this was before he was accused by Bush.
After he was jailed here, I wanted to interview him but was told no one was allowed to visit him except for next of kin. That is strong enough evidence that the US was hiding something.
One of the ways the locals claim he killed his opponents was to take them high up in a helicopter and throw them the out over the ocean. This is local lore but it's a well -known story.
Best,
Don

A shining example of how to organize, publicize, recruit and sustain their protests against the war in Ukraine and other serious related issues.
The Klown of Kiev Zelensky and Bahkmut.... and his predecessor Nazi Hitler and Operation Barbarossa. Both failed to to arrogance.
