The Hill’s cheap, cowardly shot at people of conscience who support Palestine
Another cheap slur smearing pro-Palestine protesters as ideologically motivated when in fact they are just ordinary people who know right from wrong and simply are sickened at the killing.

Why is Gen Z so pro-Palestine and anti-Israel?
BY JUAN P. VILLASMIL, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR - 12/11/23 3:00 PM ET
Polls, hashtags, Instagram stories and college demonstrations show that my generation, Generation Z, is more skeptical of Israel than older Americans. On TikTok, where half the users are under 30, #freepalestine has 31 billion posts compared to 590 million for #standwithisrael — more than 50 times as many.
Most of these bite-sized videos seem to be filmed by teenagers who have about as much knowledge of the conflict as I do (not a lot) [Actually, Gen Zers are more likely to know the REAL history of Israel than boomers. Yet what these kids lack in information, they make up for with passion. While older Americans may still see TikTok as the app where teens perform silly dances, it’s time they start seeing it as the media source that most shapes their kids’ worldview.
Some politicians already recognize this [that Tik-Tok is seen as a media source by GenZ] hence the calls to have TikTok banned entirely. Regardless of your stance on that, here’s what’s certain:
An app that has American teens convinced that they’ve suddenly become experts on Middle Eastern history and politics is worth taking seriously.
Me:
This is grossly misleading and shows the author’s contempt for younger people who are not as brainwashed as older generations who have not partaken of the Zionist Kool-Aid. Older people generally know NOTHING about Israel except the propaganda from the press and ignorant biased Evangelical leaders. They think Israel has “made the desert bloom” but are unaware that, before 1948, Palestinians were successful farmers of mostly fertile soil.
Older Americans have never heard of the Nakba, whereas many Gen Zers know what it means and what it was and is. The author of this The Hill screed is one of the ignorant ones.
I sent a link to a documentary on the Nakba to a “Christian” Zionist activist (he didn’t tell me his name but I suspected it was the genocide supporter Gordon Robertson or a staffer at his 700 Club). His ONLY comment was that the producer of the documentary was Al-Jazeera. He expected me to be horrified that a media source from Muslim country was behind this documentary when in fact, the Muslims are better acquainted with Israeli abuses and dishonesty than most others.
If you are unaware of how “Israel” was founded by European Jewish terrorists, please watch this Nakba video.
On one level it is understandable, since Americans – especially Evangelicals – of his generation assume that Israel is a reliable source while Muslims are all liars and terrorists.
In the wake of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel, the latest TikTok trends demonstrate something that’s been growing for years: the imperialistic nature of American far-left thought. Ironically, uniquely American perspectives — often espoused in the name of anti-imperialism — have themselves become imperialistic, forcing their way into affairs where they simply don’t belong. [Actually, they are the only ones who DO belong in the Israel-Palestine field because unlike most Americans, they do not believe Arabs are racially, morally or intellectually inferior or that Muslims are less trustworthy than Christians or Jews. And that is REAL imperialism, of which the author is a prime example.)
That is simply a LIE, a typical US-Israeli lie. You can’t simply trade places with your victim or pretend that there is no victim and no abuser. Further, he is spreading the propaganda that
After 12,000 dead Palestinian women and children and no dead Israeli women and children, at least after the initial attack on Oct 7, Israel and its US backer get to cry victim! There is a REAL imperialist and a victim and we all know which is which.
I see this same phenomenon at work in my peers’ online reactions to the Israel-Hamas war. To be fair, there are some respectable folks making sophisticated arguments for why Israel’s policy toward Palestine is detrimental, pointing out ways in which the Israeli government has sponsored injustice and calling for restraint [you don’t need sophisticated arguments to support Palestine, you just need a conscience]. But a sizable faction of online activists are extending critical race theory and the Black Lives Matter movement into the Palestine-Israel conflict to such an extent that they flat out deny reality.
BULLSHIT!! You can’t ignore the daily hundreds of deaths and pretend the protesters are just making up some sophist ideology to smear the Israelis and justify their outrage at the proven killing, starvation, and denial of vital needs. The pro-genocide activists are the ones denying reality!
Shame on The Hill for apologizing for genocidal murderers.
And they can’t hide behind their disclaimer, because it was their decision to publish a pro-genocide piece that can only make the ethnic cleansing and the lives of the Palestinian victims so much more precarious.
It’s totally irresponsible.
There are many people my age who feel (not think) that this conflict has only victims and oppressors. There are individuals who see in a foreign cause nothing but a mirror. In a way, they’re motivated more by vanity than by compassion. They want to let others know how much they care, but their expressed empathy is not often accompanied by charity.
How dare this jerk of an author denigrate people with a conscience when it is obvious he has none? Simply put, the pro-Israel journalists and politicians are the ones getting thousands of dollars from AIPAC, while most pro-Palestine writers are generally self-financed or get modest donations from a few generous readers.
As for charity, the pro-Zionist pro-genocide monsters are a group with collectively enough money to throw around like confetti. They think that they are protecting Holocaust survivors from anti-Semites but they have no inkling of how much today’s Nakba resembles the Holocaust that they flaunt to garner sympathy, and in fact, they have no inkling what even the Holocaust really was and have never suffered a day in their pampered lives!
There is a growing pro-Palestine movement among Jews, who understand that one can’t legitimately use Holocaust history as a smokescreen to hide one’s own evil.
These non-Zionist Jews unhesitatingly and bravely stand with the beleaguered, suffering Palestinians.
The fact that the cowardly “stand with Israel” low-lifes in politics and Big Religion overlook is that there were no Palestinians among the atrocity criminals of the Third Reich and it is therefore immoral and criminal (to say nothing of brainless) to try and create the illusion that the Palestinian children are somehow guilty of the murder of Jews in the 30s and 40s in Germany.
The fact is, the wholesale dehumanization of the Palestinian ethnicity by politician scum is done for only one reason, ie, the very same reason the Nazis dehumanized the Jews.
The compassionate, sensitive thing to do would be for Jews and Christians to love and cherish their Muslim brothers just as the Judaic God ordered the Hebrews to do in Leviticus 19:34:
The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

TNW (tactical nuclear weapons) ARE NOT FOR KIEV, THEY’RE FOR LONDON: EVERY NEW RUSSIAN PROPOSAL TO THE WEST WILL BE WORSE THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE – EXPERTS
Our opponents in the countries of the collective West should remember that each subsequent proposal from Russia will be worse than the previous one. This is not a threat, but a statement of fact - the practice of recent years indicates this, as experts spoke about on the air in Tsargrad. Yes, and more. You should not think that Russia is going to use tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Ukraine. We are ready to rehearse a strike on the territory of London, if the enemy so wants it, - this is how one of our sources explained what was happening.
The gap between Europe and Russia is not just growing - it already looks like an abyss. Which was perfectly demonstrated to the presumptuous French and British. Thus, the Russian Foreign Ministry called the ambassadors of Britain and France on the carpet and urged them to think about the consequences of London’s hostile steps that may follow the words of Foreign Minister David Cameron. He stated that Ukrainian troops could strike Russian territory with transferred British weapons.
The British were warned that the response to such actions could be attacks on British military targets outside Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry did not comment on the call of the French Ambassador, but after the Ambassador’s visit to Smolensk Square in Paris, they stated that French troops had not been sent to Ukraine.
It is interesting that almost immediately after the ambassadors of these countries were called to the carpet, the British publication The Independent* published an article “The Crimean Bridge cannot be an important military target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” It says that an analysis of satellite images showed that the Crimean Bridge “has almost no movement of military cargo,” and therefore “cannot represent an important military target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” [I suspect that messages like these are directed toward Kiev in hopes the Ukies will stay away from such targets]

Brussels, in turn, called on Russia to “stop the escalation, irresponsible rhetoric and irresponsible behavior.” This statement was made by Peter Stano, press secretary of the European Commission for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Italy also reacted to this information. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto noted that “we are talking about exercises that Russia has conducted dozens of times in recent years.” According to him, "some people tend to take any news and give it more importance than it should."
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense informed that, on instructions from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Army, “in order to increase the readiness of non-strategic nuclear forces to carry out combat missions,” the General Staff began preparations for holding exercises in the near future with missile formations of the Southern Military District with the involvement of aviation, as well as naval forces .
The exercise is aimed at maintaining the readiness of personnel and equipment of units for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons to respond and in order to unconditionally ensure the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Russian state in response to provocative statements and threats of individual Western officials against the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Some believe that this is a signal to NATO countries: if their military ends up in Ukraine, tactical nuclear weapons will strike its territory. But two years ago, President Vladimir Putin warned Macron and everyone else that there was no need to threaten the Russians.
Whoever tries to hinder us, and even more so create threats to our country, to our people, should know that Russia’s response will be immediate and will lead you to consequences that you have never encountered in your history. We are ready for any development of events. All necessary decisions in this regard have been made. I hope that I will be heard, says the President’s address dated February 24, 2022.
How large will these exercises be? What is the likelihood that Russia will use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine? The host of "First Russian" Elena Afonina discussed these and other questions with the editor of the magazine "Material and Technical Support of the Armed Forces of Russia", military expert Boris Dzherelievsky and political scientist Yuri Kot on the air of the program "We are in the know" (My v kurse).
Can Russia use nuclear weapons?
Commenting on the situation, the editor of the magazine “Material and Technical Support of the Armed Forces of Russia”, military expert Boris Dzherelievsky noted that, in addition to the information component, which was mentioned by the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, these exercises are also an important part of the normal combat training work of our armed forces.
When we had the Cold War with the West, such exercises were carried out on a regular basis. Because the use of tactical, operational-tactical and operational nuclear weapons was the most important component of the then strategy. The troops had to be taught how to use them and how to operate in conditions of the use of tactical nuclear weapons. And this was an indispensable part of all major teachings. And since the West is now returning us to the Cold War period and is following the path of escalation, we need to work out such combat schemes, the source explained.
As for the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, Dzherelievsky strongly doubts that they can be used in this area. Because people live there who themselves may not suspect that they are future citizens of Russia.

The fact that this is our territory was clearly stated by both the President and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev. Therefore, it is unlikely that we should use even tactical nuclear weapons in this region. And I think that tactical nuclear weapons are addressed primarily to our potential adversaries from NATO countries if they try to start a war against our country, Dzherelievsky said.
According to the expert, despite Russia’s obvious military-technical superiority, the number of its troops is still less than that of NATO. And in order to achieve victory and minimize our casualties in the event of a large-scale war with the countries of the alliance, “we will undoubtedly have to use nuclear weapons,” Dzherelievsky believes.
Final warning for NATO
According to presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the decision to conduct exercises on the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons by Russia was a consequence of statements by Western representatives about their readiness and intention to send armed forces to Ukraine.
That is, actually putting NATO soldiers in front of the Russian military. This is a completely new round of escalation of tension. It is unprecedented, it requires special attention and special measures, said Dmitry Peskov.
The Russian Foreign Ministry warned the British ambassador that the response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on our territory could be retaliatory strikes on British military targets outside Ukraine.
Commenting on these words, Boris Dzherelievsky suggested that we are talking specifically about the use of British weapons against the old regions of Russia and a retaliatory strike against British targets in overseas territories, including on the territory of Britain itself.
Tsargrad presenter Elena Afonina drew attention to how they reacted to this in the United States. According to the American military, the American military-political elite is unlikely to consider a Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine or even Europe critical. For them, only the safety of America, located overseas, is important. [This implies that if Russia wishes to deter the US, a strike on US assets would be necessary]
The United States is interested in starting a nuclear war in Europe and limiting it. [That is, limiting it to Europe] Macron’s speech about the French, so to speak, nuclear missile program as a kind of basis for communication with Russia suggests that there really is a certain interest. I think that the United States would prefer to kill two birds with one stone: to undermine once and for all the capabilities of the EU as a competitor to the United States and inflict maximum damage on our country, Dzherelievsky concluded.
How did they react in Ukraine?
Another Tsargrad, political scientist Yuri Kot, spoke about how this situation is perceived in Ukraine. According to him, there was no special reaction in this regard. Moreover, they are so convinced that Russia will not do anything that they look at Russian teachings and statements with a “slightly squinted eye.”
There was no particular reaction to this in Ukraine. Some tried to lay blame: you see, we said, here it is, terrible Russia. But, given the fact that they long ago agreed to dispose of not just their own people, but their own territory, when they joyfully applauded the desire to provide Ukraine with depleted uranium shells, for them the nuclear issue in this sense is not special, explained Yuriy Kot .
Zelensky doesn't have much time left
As for the overall military-political situation in Ukraine, it is complex, the expert said. Russia continues to apply pressure and break through the Ukrainian defense, and the most the West can do is “squeal.”
Yes, they are trying to provide some money and weapons. But this is all a poultice for the dead. Because it doesn't really help. This does not stop the Russian soldier. During this time, we have completely desacralized all their types of wunderwaffen, starting with the Javelin missile systems, if you remember, ten years ago, and ending with Abrams, Leopard and other evil spirits. The same will happen with the F-16 planes, if they still dare to take them into the sky, noted Kot.
According to him, Kiev understands that there will be no return of Ukraine to the 1991 borders. And those who participated in the coup d'etat - their fate will be quite unenviable. [Russia plans to hold Nuremburg-type war crimes trials] Moreover, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has already put a number of other Ukrainian political figures on the wanted list [This list now includes Zelensky himself].
The authorities in Ukraine after the coup are not only illegitimate, but they are criminals. Although they try not to show it... And on this list there are people who, for all their Ukrainian jingoism and titular Ukrainianness, understand perfectly well that the world is changing. And that the wind is blowing differently. Mostly northern. And who knows where it can cheat and where it can blow someone away, commented Kot.
He added that the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, who has been outside Ukraine for all these ten years, is “more legitimate than the current Zelensky.” [Yes, and in fact, after May 20, Zelensky’s term will be up and he can no longer be considered the legitimate president]
Will there be negotiations?
Another important point that the Tsargrad presenter drew attention to was the statement of the Council of Presidents of the UN General Assembly on the launch of a peace process to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. We are talking about a return to the Istanbul agreements of 2022, which assumes the neutrality of the country.
According to political scientist Yuri Kot, these negotiations are now hardly possible, since the West has openly crossed out previously reached agreements. And moreover, he used them for additional militarization of Ukraine.
Therefore, there can be no return to that river... Everyone knows perfectly well that if Putin makes an offer, you must agree immediately. Because the next negotiations on this topic will be from a much worse position for the opposite side, Kot pointed out.
He emphasized that the only guarantee of peace for Russia would be “complete unconditional victory” and “absolute defeat of the enemy with further prospects for expanding our influence far beyond the borders of Ukraine.” [An important point. Most Western commentators, including the best of them, a downplaying the possibility that Russia may take the war further.]
Then maybe we could talk about some kind of agreements. There's simply no point in talking about it now, concluded Yuri Kot.

Russia responded to the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack with HARM and ATACMS missiles
Deputy Chepa: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are increasingly using sophisticated equipment to strike the Russian Federation

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are increasingly using sophisticated equipment to strike Russian territory, noted First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexey Chepa. This is how, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, he reacted to the attack by HARM and ATACMS missiles, Hammer bombs and drones on Crimea and border areas.
“We see that more and more Ukraine is using sophisticated technology to launch attacks on Russian territory. First of all, this is due to problems with the Ukrainian Armed Forces and attempts to get more and more weapons and money from the West, thereby showing some of their so-called successes,” Chepa said.
Just yesterday, the British gave permission to use weapons supplied to Ukraine against the territory of Crimea. Previously it was prohibited, now they give it permission

The deputy also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attacks are an attempt to exert some kind of influence on Russia.
“Now we are also hearing a lot of voices from the West about the need to negotiate before Ukraine finds itself in a worse situation. But today, as Western experts say, Kyiv is in a bad starting position for negotiations, so it is trying to somehow influence this situation by striking civilian targets,” he concluded.

MOSCOW, May 15/ Radio Sputnik. The Russian armed forces attacked a fuel and lubricants warehouse and a workshop where parts for missiles were produced, Nikolaev underground coordinator Sergei Lebedev told RIA Novosti.
"
“The strike on Nikolaev went very well, destroying a warehouse with fuel and lubricants and a workshop where they made spare parts for missiles and UAVs. A parking lot with bander cars, the so-called air defense on wheels, along with ammunition (ammunition, - ed.),” said the news agency’s source.
According to him, citizens report a large number of ambulances, while local firefighters are in no hurry to extinguish the fire, fearing further detonation.
Lebedev added that shortly after the strike, almost 40 wounded Ukrainian soldiers were taken in the direction of a former sanatorium where there is a morgue.
…
“Thirty-seven wounded were taken to Dubki, a former sanatorium, which has now been turned into a military camp; Dubki has its own morgue,” said the underground worker.
Radio Sputnik also reported that Russian troops attacked a rocket fuel workshop belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Newsletter - Overview: Le choix de la défaite
[from French: The choice of defeat]
“The day will come,” wrote the French historian Marc Bloch in April 1944, “and perhaps soon, when it will be possible to shed light on the machinations that took place here between 1933 and 1939 in favor of the Berlin-Rome axis were driven to give it dominion over Europe”. Bloch, who had joined the Resistance to fight against the German occupation regime, had recently been arrested, imprisoned and severely tortured by the Gestapo in Lyon on March 8th. With death in mind, he was concerned about what he had already stated in his work L'étrange défaite (The Strange Defeat) in the summer of 1940, shortly after France's defeat in the war against the German Reich: namely, that the French elites - military men, politicians, Publicists, but especially industrialists, were prepared to “individually destroy the entire structure of our alliances and our partnerships” just to switch to open collaboration with the Germans. Bloch, like so many others, also fell victim to the collaboration: the Nazis killed him on June 16, 1944. [Reminds me of Macron and his ambition to be on the side he perceives as the strongest]
Last piece, The Choice of Defeat, might stick in Macrons' craw!
