Trump’s “peace” plan calls for MORE NATO control in Ukraine and more weapons for the Nazis. Gee, Putin will really jump at this offer, won’t he?
Trump has modelled himself after Rip van Winkel. After a century of sleep, he suddenly springs forth with a plan without knowing the reality. He never looked at Putin’s grievances that started the war
The combined West doesn’t care what the Russians want when they go to the bargaining table. In important ways, Trump’s plan is farther removed from reality than Zelensky’s!
Now back in 2014, Ukraine and Russia negotiated and signed the Minsk Accords to establish some ground rules in their mutual understanding. Later these were updated and called Minsk II.
However, after the signing, the West made it clear that it would never comply with its end of the deal. Later, the guarantors – admitted that it was just used as cover to buy time and prepare for war. Trump’s plan looks a lot like the same fiasco.
According to Geopolitical Economy, “Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky admitted to the newspaper [it’s not a newspaper, it’s a weekly magazine] Der Spiegel that he refused to implement the 2015 Minsk II peace deal with Russia.” Germany and France said Kiev used the agreement to “buy time” to prepare for war.
Not exactly. Angela Merkel and François Hollande – as well as Piotr Poroshenko – later admitted that they too – not just Zelensky – had participated in sabotaging the agreement. It was a scam from the start.
Putin and Russian commentators discussed this scam in detail for years after this and declared that the west is “non agreement capable.” Their comments and complaints were carried in the Western press and any US politician or official involved in foreign relations who did not know this was not worth his salt. What business does he have drafting a peace plan to be signed by Russia not knowing what the Kremlin had said about precisely this kind of scandal?
He and other Russian commentators have mentioned since then that they will never fall for this trap again. That is, they would never sign an agreement over Ukraine that would give the West an opportunity to build up the Ukrainian and NATO military during a waiting period that is part of a “peace” plan.
Yet, Trump’s plan calls for allowing Ukraine to join NATO after a 20 year wait. This would hardly be palatable for Putin because Ukraine would likely remain Russophobic and hostile.
Worse, Trump naively thought Putin would gladly sign onto a plan that would allow NATO members to police a “buffer zone.” My firm belief is that Russia will retain near-total control of rump Ukraine even while possibly (but possibly not) allowing it some autonomy. Russia almost certainly will not allow the presence of any NATO state military involvement in Ukraine after the war. If it thought it could trust them to keep their word, maybe it would, but the Minsk Accord fiasco proved to Russia that it could never trust the west again.
After years of dealing with the totally dishonest and Russophobic Europeans, the last thing I would expect Putin to do is trust NATO members to administer a buffer zone. This would give NATO a chance to sabotage the deal, building up their army for the specific purpose of destroying Russia, their cherished dream for decades. See marginal note below for confessions by Western officials that their goal in Ukraine had nothing to do with the welfare of Ukrainians, quite the opposite. These confessions are known to Russia.
So why does Putin talk about negotiating with the West? I believe he is trying not to rock the boat. He wants to create the illusion that he trusts Trump and other western leaders, but he most certainly does not. This is not dishonesty on Putin’s part. It is self-preservation.
And would you look at that map (embedded in the Daily Mail article reproduced here in its entirety) of the naively imagined (by Trump) post-war Ukraine? (Trump naively thinks Putin considers him a “friend,” and will sign on to this “peace plan” on the basis of this supposed “friendship.” But Putin knows better. He has already pointed out that Trump was the first to attack the Nord Stream project, by sanctioning the European investors in the laying of the pipeline. Putin’s diplomatic approach is wrongly taken as weakness by the brain-dead western Establishment).
Again, look at all the cities that this delusional map includes on the Ukrainian side that is not under Russian control. It includes places that Putin has already said are historically Russian and will become Russian once more based on a referendum to gage the wishes of the residents of these places. Once declared to be Russian in RF documents, there is no going back. Some of these include:
Kherson city
Odessa (Scott Ritter claims Russia can’t afford to liberate Odessa but Russian analysts are predicting Odessa will be freed. Putin’s statement that Ukraine is Russia speaks loudly. We’ll have to wait and see)
Kiev
The whole of Sumy oblast, which is where the Ukrainian invaders entered Kursk oblast from (it’s a large area across the border from Kursk}. I can almost guarantee Putin will station Russian troops in this oblast permanently. He would never sign off on leaving this under NATO control! To be brutally frank, Trump is totally unqualified cognitively to draft a peace plan of this type, but Putin will humor him for now to allow him to save face.
Putin recently made a speech in which he said that Russia and Ukraine are a unified people http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/66181. Western “analysts” went berserk, claiming that Putin’s historical reasoning was fake. But the problem is: the West never pays a bit of attention to anything that Putin says. It’s not their fault. They simply lack the IQ and attention span to understand Putin’s detailed historical analyses.
This should set the tone for any negotiations that may take place in the future. Trump’s plan is a non-starter.
So how does Putin proceed from here knowing in advance what to expect from Trump?
Perhaps the best way out for Putin is to take full advantage of the time left until Trump’s inauguration to quickly capture those territories that Russians see as iron-clad historically Russian regions.
If Russia can liberate these in time, then Trump’s plan can be more-or-less neutralized. So we shouldn’t be surprised at even greater escalation of the already break-neck pace of the nightly air strikes and the daily advances at the front lines. After all, if reports are correct, the Koreans may be in the game already, providing additional muscle to Russia.
The question now is, can the Russian armed forces perform a veritable miracle on the battlefield and the aerospace forces redouble their already-herculean efforts in striking concentrations of Ukrainian and foreign troops and officers? The available forces are being rapidly depleted and military infrastructure is being destroyed at an alarming rate for Kiev. The seriousness of this rapid loss of infrastructure is highlighted by Zelensky’s frantic request for a deal with Putin whereby both sides would agree not to attack the other’s power grid. Since Putin is the one with all the precision missiles and drones, there is no pressing need for him to comply with this request. In fact, as my daily air strike reports show, Russia is merely escalating its attacks on the power grid. Experts have suggested that a point of no return is approaching, and that Ukrainians may be shivering in their homes this winter. The few pinprick strikes by Ukraine – with its modest supply of long-range weapons – on Russia are in no way commensurate with the massive damage being done by Moscow.
Finally, there are suggestions in Moscow to attack the US directly. Here is the latest account of such a proposal by influential commentator Soloviev, who is, however, not usually taken terribly seriously in the Kremlin – though down the line, such ideas could be implemented as the situation renders them more relevant.
Daily Mail published a resume of what the delusional Trump plan will be:
Trump 'wants British and European troops sent to enforce 800-mile buffer zone between Russia and Ukraine' as part of his peace plan - as he prepares to speak to Putin
By MIRIAM KUEPPER and OLIVIA CHRISTIE
Published: 08:34 GMT, 8 November 2024 | Updated: 15:48 GMT, 8 November 2024
Donald Trump may call for a 800-mile demilitarised zone between Russia and Ukraine as part of a plan to end the war early. [The only buffer zone Putin can possibly accept is one enforced by Russia and no one else!]
The proposal, which has been outlined by three Trump staffers, would involve the zone being policed by British and European troops. [These staffers are as naïve as Trump. Putin will never allow NATO troops in what is left of Ukraine. That would NOT be demilitarizing anything]
It would mean that Russia would keep its territorial gains made in Ukraine with the current border frozen in place (Putin and pro-Kremlin commentators have already said that Putin will not accept a frozen conflict). Kyiv would also have to assure that it would not join NATO for 20 years. [Excuse me, but allowing NATO countries to control a buffer zone in Ukraine is too much like the fox guarding the hen house. A no-go for Putin, although there are credible western analysts who would differ with me, including Andrew Korybko, who thinks Putin could be strongarmed by Trump]

Under the plans the US would arm Ukraine [never!! That would go against the Russian goal of demilitarization] in return for preventing Russia from restarting the war. However, responsibility for manning and financing the buffer zone would fall solely on Ukraine's European allies.
It comes as Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky warned that any attempt to end the war by appeasing Russia would be 'suicide' for Europe. [The war will end when Russia wins and no one will have to appease Russia, which will set the terms]

Trump adviser says focus of ending Ukraine war must be peace
Ukraine's relationship with Britain 'worsens' under Keir Starmer
'We can do training and other support but the barrel of the gun is going to be European,' a member of Trump's team told the Wall Street Journal. [Putin would never trust Europe again. He won’t sign on to this. If American officials listened to Putin, this “plan” would never have been drafted]
'We are not sending American men and women to uphold peace in Ukraine. And we are not paying for it. Get the Poles, Germans, British and French to do it.' [These are all Russia-hating regimes. Won’t fly. These Russia haters are emotionally incapable of upholding the peace. They only understand the language of war. Trump’s plan crosses flashing bright red lines here]
Although Trump hasn't outlined how he would get both sides to the negotiating table, his advisers have reportedly voiced different plans for how to solve the conflict.
Top Russian security official Sergei Shoigu said on Thursday that the situation in the combat zone in Ukraine is not in Kyiv's favour and that the West should accept this and negotiate an end to the conflict, the Interfax news agency reported.
'Now, when the situation in the theatre of military operations is not in the favour of the Kyiv regime, the West is faced with a choice - to continue financing it and destroying the Ukrainian population [it’s already destroyed. They’re down to recruiting women for some roles] or to recognise the current realities and start negotiating,' Shoigu was cited as telling a meeting of secretaries of Commonwealth of Independent States nations' security councils in Moscow.
Trump has famously said that the Russia-Ukraine war would never have started had he been president and claimed he could bring the conflict to an abrupt halt - without ever revealing his plans for doing so. [This is just bravado of a charlatan]

The objectives of a proxy war: Bleeding the adversary
The strict demand for loyalty to the narrative hides the fact that US foreign policy is about restoring global primacy and not an altruistic commitment to liberal democratic values. The US considers Ukraine to be an important instrument to weaken Russia as a strategic rival.
The RAND Corporation, a think tank funded by the US government and renowned for its close ties with the intelligence community, published a report in 2019 on how the US could bleed Russia by pulling it further into Ukraine. RAND proposed that the US could send more military equipment to Kiev and threaten NATO expansion to provoke Moscow to increase its involvement in Ukraine:
“Providing more US military equipment and advice could lead Russia to increase its direct involvement in the conflict and the price it pays for it… While NATO’s requirement for unanimity makes it unlikely that Ukraine could gain membership in the foreseeable future, Washington pushing this possibility could boost Ukrainian resolve while leading Russia to redouble its efforts to forestall such a development.”
However, the same RAND report recognized that the strategy of bleeding Russia had to be carefully “calibrated,” as a full-scale war could result in Russia acquiring strategic territories, which is not in the interest of the US. After Russia launched its military operation in February 2022, the strategy was similarly to keep the war going as long as there were not significant territorial changes.
Read more: Here’s why Russia won’t talk to Ukraine
In March 2022, Leon Panetta (former White House chief of staff, secretary of defense, and CIA director) acknowledged: “We are engaged in a conflict here, it’s a proxy war with Russia, whether we say so or not… The way you get leverage is by, frankly, going in and killing Russians.” Even Zelensky recognized in March 2022 that some Western states wanted to use Ukraine as a proxy: “There are those in the West who don’t mind a long war because it would mean exhausting Russia, even if this means the demise of Ukraine and comes at the cost of Ukrainian lives.”
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin outlined the objectives in the Ukraine proxy war to as weakening its strategic adversary:
“We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine… So it [Russia] has already lost a lot of military capability. And a lot of its troops, quite frankly. And we want to see them not have the capability to very quickly reproduce that capability.”
There have also been indications of regime change as a wider goal of the war. Sources in the US and UK governments confirmed in March 2022 that the objective was for “the conflict to be extended and thereby bleed Putin,” as “the only end game now is the end of Putin regime.” US President Joe Biden suggested that regime change was necessary in Russia: “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.” However, the White House later walked back these dangerous remarks.
A spokesperson for then UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also made an explicit reference to regime change by arguing, “the measures we’re introducing, that large parts of the world are introducing, are to bring down the Putin regime.” James Heappey, the UK minister for the armed forces, similarly wrote in the Daily Telegraph:
“His failure must be complete; Ukrainian sovereignty must be restored, and the Russian people empowered to see how little he cares for them. In showing them that, Putin’s days as President will surely be numbered and so too will those of the kleptocratic elite that surround him. He’ll lose power and he won’t get to choose his successor.” [failure to understand the Russian mentality]

Russian Armed Forces launched long-range precision strikes on Ukrainian military rear areas
This is a joint effort of our aviation, missile forces, artillery and drones. According to the Defense Ministry, the targets include airfield infrastructure and energy facilities that supplied the enterprises of the enemy's military-industrial complex. Also hit were storage sites and preparation sites for the launch of enemy attack drones.

Instant response to the most powerful attack on Moscow: It's burning from Odessa to Kyiv - almost 150 UAVs and missiles struck. The first obituaries
The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked regions of Russia throughout the night and before the strike - a total of about 93 drones were shot down by our air defense, and, according to the Ministry of Defense, 70 of them were from 07:00 to 10:00. Few people noticed the instant response of the Russian army to the most powerful attack on Moscow. It's burning from Odessa to Kyiv - almost 150 UAVs and missiles struck. The first obituaries.
The Ukrainian army launched a massive strike on regions of Russia. According to the Ministry of Defense, 23 drones were intercepted and destroyed during the night - the most massive strike, 17 UAVs were eliminated over the Bryansk oblast.
A fire broke out in non-residential buildings in the Bryansk oblast, the governor reported. Enemy channels are spreading information that the fire was allegedly in the area where the 1060th logistics center of the Russian Armed Forces is located. This information is not officially confirmed.
A fire also broke out on the territory of a garage cooperative; it occurred as a result of a UAV attack in the city of Sosensky, Kozelsky District, Kaluga Oblast, the governor said. In the Belgorod Oblast, one person was killed and seven were injured.
After that, a record-breaking enemy attack on the capital of Russia began. From 07:00 to 10:00, according to the Defense Ministry, our air defense repelled an attack by 70 enemy UAVs: 34 over the territory of the Moscow Oblast, 14 over the territory of the Bryansk Oblast, seven each over the territories of the Oryol and Kaluga Oblasts, six over the territory of the Kursk Oblast, and two over the territory of the Tula Oblast.
According to Sergei Sobyanin, the UAVs shot down over the Moscow Oblast were flying to attack the territory of Moscow. This attack turned out to be the most powerful - drones of the "Lyuty" type flew to the Moscow oblast in such numbers for the first time (all were destroyed, none reached the target). The previous record was in September - 14 UAVs were shot down.
Their target adjustment is made already at the final section of the trajectory, and they fly extremely low (almost along the tops of trees). The warhead weight is about 18 kg (on our "gerans" about 50 kg). The range of the devices is declared to be more than 1000 km (also inferior to the "gerans"), which makes one think about their own air defense system for many potentially dangerous objects to attack, wrote military correspondent Yuri Podolyaka.
As a result of today's attack, a woman was injured, a fire was noticed in the Ramenskoye City District. A number of sources wrote that there was also a fire in the Kratovo area near Zhukovsky.
Instant response
The Russian army delivered an instant response to the enemy. Although the "response" is more of a formality, some of the strikes were carried out at night, while a couple dozen Ukrainian drones were flying toward our border.
The enemy announced 145 Russian drones over Ukraine, of which, according to him, 62 were shot down. Some write about a little more than 150 "birds".
As a result of the strikes, large fires broke out in Kyiv and the oblast, in Odessa, in the Sumy oblast and in the Kharkiv oblast.
According to preliminary data, a large enemy air defense unit was hit in the Ukrainian border regions - earlier there was information that he was concentrating strike forces for a subsequent invasion.
In Shostka, Sumy oblast, a military-industrial complex enterprise was destroyed, the enemy confirmed, but details are not disclosed.
In Odessa and Ilyichevsk, according to unconfirmed information, warehouses and port infrastructure were critically damaged. Details are being clarified.
The first obituaries have also appeared. The author of the channel Shopot fronta Шёпот фронта [Whisper of the Front] reported on the liquidation of the commander of one of the Troops brigades, Oleg Poddubchenko from the city of Uman. Also, a certain Anatoly Martinchuk was killed tonight:
I once saw a video with him, where they really counted their "two-hundreds" [code name for KIA].. he said that a great number of our guys are dying... Tolyan joined in.

It appears that Wall Street creation, Donald Trump, is playing the role of a Con Man with no cards in his hand.
All he can do is try to bluff World Statesman Putin into submission.
Comedian Zelensky should have told Don that he already tried bluffing and lost his shirt, pants and kiev; Russia has all the cards.
