Why doesn’t every good person on earth stand up for Julian Assange?
The main problem for Assange is that most Americans have no empathy for victims of injustice because they have no understanding of what justice really is. They face a steep learning curve.
The government declared that Assange’s publishing of factual reports on US war crimes was “espionage.” But how can any thinking person accept this lie? It is the same government that allowed US recruits to kill innocents for fun in Iraq (see the videos linked below, just click to enter and then agree to watch because they are age restricted).
I suppose it has to do with the way we have all been brought up, to obey authority.
But there is evil authority and decent authority. In fact we now know there is such a thing as Satanic authority in Washington and in Israel.
We just need to learn what the difference is. And yet the issue seems so clear-cut to anyone who sits down and thinks on it a bit and puts himself in Juian’s place for just a moment.
I mean how, under any legal precept, can telling the truth or presenting video evidence, of US government war crimes be anything but an important and valuable contribution to public knowledge about government – a sina qua non in any democracy? No sick nation can heal without an examination of the causes of its malady. Assange was performing a valuable service for every human being on this planet. Why so little understanding and such indifference to his plight when we all have benefitted so richly from knowing this uncomfortable truth?
Let’s have a look at one of those videos of US soldiers killing innocent civilians in Iraq FOR FUN, LAUGHING AS INNOCENT PEOPLE DROP TO THE STREET DEAD (click on “watch on YouTube”).
https://yandex.ru/video/preview/11033510218763165970
And here is perhaps the most notorious of all such videos from Iraq (available thanks to Assange’s courageous work), showing the murder of Reuters employees with cameras, which the US soldier idiot in the helicopter declared was a terrorist as he shot him dead. Two Reuters employees died in this incident.
Why are these killers not in jail? And why is Julian Assange in jail for bringing this evidence of government war crimes to the public?
To deny such information to the voting public negates the concept of government of, by and for the people. It is utterly fascist. It is part of the puzzle of how the US can wholeheartedly support a Neonazi regime in Ukraine and a genocide in Palestine. And believe they are doing good.
I have said it before, but will say it again: you can’t support evil without being evil yourself. And hence, you can’t support a Nazi regime — as Washington does —without being a Nazi yourself.
And you can’t sit back and let innocent people be jailed for doing good without besmirching yourself.
Good people don’t behave this way.
On the other hand, even many Americans are now waking up to the evils of Zionism and are protesting the genocide and infanticide in Palestine. These people can see the graphic evidence of this evil.
Perhaps if they could see how jailing a good man for telling the truth about evil, is wrong, they would join the protest for Julian just as fervently as they now protest for the Palestinian victims of genocide.
But meanwhile, Julian’s health deteriorates in a prison where he does not belong.
The ones who truly deserve to rot in his cell are the ones who sent him there. Along with the ruthless killers from the video and their superior officers who sent obvious psychopaths to slaughter innocents in a helicopter without supervision, and the people in charge of prosecuting war crimes like this who did nothing.
The Slow-Motion Execution of Julian Assange Continues
May 21, 2024
By Chris Hedges
The ruling by the High Court in London permitting Julian Assange to appeal his extradition order leaves him languishing in precarious health in a high-security prison. That is the point.
The May 20 decision by the High Court in London to grant Julian Assange the right to appeal the order to extradite him to the United States may prove to be a Pyrrhic victory. It does not mean Julian will elude extradition. It does not mean the court has ruled, as it should, that he is a journalist whose only “crime” was providing evidence of war crimes and lies by the U.S. government to the public. It does not mean he will be released from the high-security HMS Belmarsh prison where, as Nils Melzer, the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, after visiting Julian there, said he was undergoing a “slow motion execution.”
It does not mean that journalism is any less imperiled. Editors and publishers of five international media outlets —– The New York Times, the Guardian, Le Monde, El Pais and DER SPIEGEL —– which published stories based on documents released by WikiLeaks, have urged that the U.S. charges be dropped and Julian be released. None of these media executives were charged with espionage. It does not dismiss the ludicrous ploy by the U.S. government to extradite an Australian citizen whose publication is not based in the U.S. and charge him under the Espionage Act. It continues the long Dickensian farce that mocks the most basic concepts of due process.
This ruling is based on the grounds that the U.S. government did not offer sufficient assurances that Julian would be granted the same First Amendment protections afforded to a U.S. citizen, should he stand trial. The appeal process is one more legal hurdle in the persecution of a journalist who should not only be free, but feted and honored as the most courageous of our generation.
Yes. He can file an appeal. But this means another year, perhaps longer, in harsh prison conditions as his physical and psychological health deteriorates. He has spent over five years in HMS Belmarsh without being charged. He spent seven years in the Ecuadorian Embassy because the U.K. and Swedish governments refused to guarantee that he wouldn’t be extradited to the U.S., even though he agreed to return to Sweden to aid a preliminary investigation that was eventually dropped.
The judicial lynching of Julian was never about justice. The plethora of legal irregularities, including the recording of his meetings with attorneys by the Spanish security firm UC Global at the embassy on behalf of the CIA, alone should have seen the case thrown out of court as it eviscerates attorney-client privilege.

Translation with my notes in bold and in [brackets]
I had a comment from a reader (not a regular I suppose) who said he thought using 3 ton bombs on an army that was losing was like using a sledge hammer to kill a fly.
Nope, not even close. It is more like using a bigger fly swatter to kill a swarm of flies. True, Ukraine has been losing for some time, but the West is still throwing everything at Russia in an effort to kill as many Russians as possible. It makes sense to kill as many of the enemy as possible with the lowest possible losses for your own side.
But let’s start at the beginning, in 2014, when the US-NATO backed Ukrainians started shelling innocent civilians in Donbass for the purpose of starting a war and then claiming falsely that “Russia attacked Ukraine unprovoked.” We still hear that lie today but I documented here with videos last year what was really happening in Russian-speaking, Russia-sympathetic Donbass.
The diabolical Neocons in the Obama regime orchestrated these genocidal attacks for the specific purpose of starting a war with nuclear-armed Russia. Smart idea, right? Risk getting the earth annihilated for the sake of satisfying the Russia hate of a small group of mentally ill officials who have seized control of the State Department and Pentagon for their own Satanic purposes.
The Satanists have managed to seize control of the government by cooperating with the lobbyists and rich donors instead of the voters.

Here is your daily air strike update for June 21, 2024
Translation with my notes in bold and in [brackets]

IRINA STOLYAROVA
SITUATION IN KHARKIV REGION JUNE 21: OFFENSIVE, DEFENSE BREAKTHROUGH – NEWS FROM THE FRONT
The Ukrainian Armed Forces brought units of prisoners into battle. The Russian army is carrying out serious attacks throughout the border region with three-ton FABs. We report everything that is known about the situation in the Kharkov region on June 21.
What Russian military officers write about the situation in the Kharkov region on June 21
For the first time in history, the Russian Armed Forces used the FAB-3000 equipped with UMPK Управляемый модуль планирования и коррекции (УМПК), or universal interspecific gliding and correction module). The strike was carried out on a Ukrainian Armed Forces deployment point in the village of Liptsy, Kharkov region.
Mass production of three-ton FAB-3000 aerial bombs began in Russia at the end of March this year. Thanks to universal glide and correction modules (UMPB), they turn into high-precision projectiles with deadly power. Previously, a similar module was used only for aerial bombs of 250, 500 and 1500 calibers.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine would launch an offensive to drive out Russian troops from the north of the Kharkov region.
“We know that mainly the Americans and Europeans are pushing the Ukrainians to push our units onto the state border line at any cost, I want to emphasize this, and they plan to present this as a major success in 2024 in connection with the upcoming NATO summit, and then the elections in the United States,” said the Russian President.
At the same time, he noted “but this command “at any cost” will again cost the Ukrainian armed forces very dearly.
“Today, since early morning, the Russian army has been carrying out serious attacks along the entire border area of the Kharkov region. Our people living in the Belgorod region [Russian] report that all the barrels are working, and the MLRS [multiple launch rocket system] is pouring in non stop,” reports the TG channel “Svodki i Analytika SMO”.
“Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring” write that at night the enemy brought units of prisoners into battle.
“We won’t say anything about their preparation; everything can be seen in the objective control footage. The infantry moves along the road in a column one at a time with a minimum distance straight towards the destroyed bridge, which is being shelled by Russian artillery around the clock. They were first attacked with automatic grenade launchers on a stand, and then the artillery joined in, putting the enemy to rout. From a group of up to 15 people, only 4 people were able to escape; the rest are still lying on the approaches to the bridge. Why this suicidal action was undertaken is still unclear,” the military correspondents write. [It’s not a difficult question. Nazis do not value human life]
Footage of the bloody failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, an unsuccessful enemy assault on the dugout of the 25th brigade in the Kharkov region, appeared on the Internet.
What they say and write in the West and Ukraine about the situation in the Kharkov region on June 21
Bild [a German magazine] also writes about the dropping of a guided FAB-3000 bomb.
According to them, Russia dropped the first FAB-3000 M-54 UMPC on Ukraine, hitting the Novaya Poshta building No. 1 in the front-line village of Liptsy, Kharkov region.
“A heavy bomb weighing 3 tons (warhead 1.2 tons) fell 15 meters from the building, but still caused serious damage to it,” notes military observer Julian Roepke.
The United States allowed Ukraine to strike with its weapons to defeat any forces of the Russian Armed Forces attacking from abroad, and not just those located in the Kharkov region. Politico reports on this.
“This is not about geography. This is about common sense,” said National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine, which, according to him, was caused by the need to protect the residents of Donbass. He noted that Russia had no other choice. [The genocidal attacks on the Donbass are poorly documented, but I was able to find a few uncensored videos. Click here
The West condemned Moscow's actions, deciding to support Kyiv with financial assistance and weapons. In this regard, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that the geographical objectives of the special operation in Ukraine have changed, and they will not be completed within the territories of Donbass only.
Europe is still confident that sanctions can stop the Russians, and therefore suffers losses and a destructive impact from its own decisions on its own economy. Respectable citizens in Europe do not understand why prices in stores are rising, and fuel is becoming more expensive, and why the Kyiv authorities do not compromise in order to sit down at the negotiating table with the Kremlin.

Our thanks to RH for this:
"Russia’s new FAB-3000 aerial bomb is 2x more powerful than the previously biggest aerial bomb, and has a glide and control kit. Twice the destructive power, at a time when Ukraine is losing."
Sounds a bit like using a sledge hammer to kill a fly !! If Ukraine is such a push-over then why does Russia have to use this kind of near diabolical weapon.
And a comment to one of your other posts ..... God used Cyrus and even referred to him as "his servant".
You would have to read all of Isaiah 44 to get the whole picture but this is the last verse in that chapter.
Isaiah 44:28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
Me
Are you reading my commentaries regularly? You may have missed something. Click here
Well, just in case, the reason Russia has to use all these sledgehammers is that the "fly" has lots of friends in the West.
right now, there is a whole pack of F-16s on the way to Ukraine, and that is worrisome. I have no doubt that Russia will win hands down, but the big weapons the west is sending are intended to kill Russians and they need all the big scary weapons they can get to keep safe.
If you and your friends were firing at ISIS terrorists from your window and you had a chance to add another gunslinger to your side, would you just figure you had enough guys to whip em or would you want all the help you could get?
Russians are people too you know. No one says “oh, let’s let the enemy kill a few more of us to even the score.”

Fear, hunger and displacement follows Israel’s worsening abuse of Palestinians in Hebron

Fear, hunger and displacement follows Israel’s worsening abuse of Palestinians in Hebron
In Hebron, around 200 people were forced to leave their homes in Hebron as a result of heightened access and movement restrictions and an increase in search and arrest operations by Israeli soldiers since 7 October 2023 (photo)
“We’re quietly being pushed to leave through the heightened measures of apartheid,” said Alaa Jaber, a 28-year-old Palestinian living in Hebron.
by Issam Ahmed, reposted from The New Arab, May 29, 2024
In Hebron, where approximately 650 illegal Israeli settlers forcefully planted themselves in the heart of an urban Palestinian population and dictate the fate of its roughly 40,000 residents, Palestinians’ lives have become an even worse nightmare since October 7.
“Israel’s abuse plays out on every detail of citizens’ every day in this part of the West Bank,” Issa Amro, a UN-recognised human rights defender and founder of grassroots group Youth Against Settlements, told The New Arab.
In “H2” — the 20 percent of Hebron that is under direct Israeli control and where those settlers reign over the Palestinian-majority population — a labyrinth of checkpoints and a network of barriers that have long been put in place by the Israeli army to control Palestinians and keep them off certain areas and roads, have only got worse.

US Neocons and NATO in hysterics over the Russia-N Korea agreement, esp the mutual defense clause. It’s like NATO – an attack on one is an attack on both
Excerpt 1
JUNE 20, 2024
PUTIN SHUFFLED ALL THE US CARDS. POLITICAL SCIENTISTS BELIEVE THE MOST INTERESTING PART IS IN THE CLOSED ARTICLES OF THE AGREEMENT WITH THE DPRK
The meeting between Vladimir Putin and Kim Jin-un has ended, and the Russian leader remains on the front pages of the world's most popular tabloids. Panic is brewing in the West over possible negative consequences for Europe and the United States - and it’s not even about what doors the strengthening of Russian-Korean relations opens. It's all about one signed agreement, which changes a lot at the geopolitical level. Political scientists believe the most interesting thing is in the closed articles of the agreement. Putin has mixed up all the cards for both the United States and NATO.
Excerpt 2
Most of all, of course, the West is frightened by Article 4 of the Treaty, which provides for the provision of military assistance in the event of aggression against one of the parties to the agreement.
If one of the parties is subjected to an armed attack by another state or group of states and finds itself in a state of war, the other party will immediately provide military and other assistance with all means at its disposal and in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation and the DPRK, and the UN Charter, according to the text of the KCNA.
NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg expressed extreme concern:
They support each other like never before. And this led to North Korea signing a bilateral defense treaty. This shows that they support each other and help each other. <…> And we are very concerned that Russia may begin to support programs for the development of nuclear weapons. [Too bad the US didn’t think of this possibility when it boldly traipsed into the Maidan in 2014 to gain control of the Kiev regime and start a war. None of this ever had to happen]
And representatives of the US State Department expressed their extreme concern, Yonhap news agency said.
Putin has clearly once again shuffled the cards for the United States and the European Union. But political scientists believe the most interesting thing is in the closed articles of the agreement.
Information is classified
Political scientist Georgy Bovt, in a conversation with Tsargrad, when asked what the provision of military assistance could mean in the event of aggression against one of the participants, suggested that this includes the likely recruitment of North Korean soldiers. However, it is not clear in what form, if we are talking about signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense, then this may mean the main thing. Possibility of rotation for our soldiers.
It is also unclear whether this step means the implementation of Vladimir Putin’s words that Russia has the right to supply weapons to US opponents.
These are secret negotiations. In general, North Korea is under UN Security Council sanctions, for which Russia voted. Maybe she will neglect this, the political scientist said.

‘HRW: THE DEAD ARE THE LUCKY ONES.’ PEOPLE IN GAZA SAY THE WOUNDED SUFFER IMMENSELY:
Human Rights Watch (HRW) said Palestinians in Gaza have told them that death is preferable to being wounded in Israel’s war on the territory because the injured “suffer so acutely due to the Israeli authorities’ blockade of lifesaving aid”.
“UN member states should do more to prevent further atrocities,” the rights group said, in a statement to the UN’s Human Rights Council on Wednesday.
https://israelpalestinenews.org/hrw-in-gaza-the-dead-are-the-lucky-ones-day-258/
“No more civilians should be killed or wounded by unlawful attacks, die from malnutrition and dehydration, and be deprived of access to medical care,” HRW said.
“The ongoing catastrophe for civilians shows the cost of the international community’s failure to address the root causes of suffering in the region. Victims of serious abuses in Israel and Palestine, including the crimes of apartheid and persecution against the Palestinian people, have faced a wall of impunity for decades.”
