Will the US regime cancel Netanyahu?
An Arabic language news site, citing sources, says the US is eyeing steps to replace Netanyahu. He's an embarrassment. It shouldn’t be hard to do since the Israeli street is ready to lynch him.
The following three translated articles relate to Russian air strikes

N-TV: Ukrainians called the attacks on Kyiv targets the worst in a long time
January 4 - Krym.News. The attacks on the military infrastructure of Kyiv caused a serious shock among Ukrainians, as reported by Gordian Fritz, a correspondent of German TV channel N-TV.
According to him, the Ukrainians called these attacks the most powerful in recent times and noted that they seriously undermined the morale of the population. The main goal of the strikes, as Fritz noted, was to reduce Ukraine’s defense capabilities by striking military factories and weapons depots. Earlier, powerful explosions occurred in Ukraine, leading to power outages and fires in buildings, RT writes.
At the same time, Russian troops continue to launch missile attacks on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout Ukraine. It began on October 10, 2022 in response to a terrorist attack carried out by the Kyiv regime in Crimea. In this regard, air raid alerts are announced in Ukrainian regions almost daily, and sometimes even throughout the country.

A missile hit the drone development and modernization workshop in Ukraine
Lutsenko: the missile hit the UAV development and modernization workshop in Ukraine
The missile hit the building of a Ukrainian workshop engaged in the development and modernization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Lutsenko, currently a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), announced this on his Facebook page (a social network banned in the Russian Federation; owned by the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
According to the former people's deputy, the material damage caused by the missile's arrival is being clarified.
On January 2, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a group strike on enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine in Kyiv and its suburbs. The attack was carried out with long-range precision weapons and drones.

The article appearing in translation below comes from an Arabic-language Middle East publication. The advantage of reading opinion and analysis from such sites is that they often express opinions or offer facts that most US msm would not risk publishing.
Even Russian authors are loathe to report on Israel because Putin has long been a friend of Bibi.
For example, many Western journalists might hesitate to tell you that the US is eyeing removal of Netanyahu because this might be seen as anti-Semitic and would cause trouble for the author or publisher.
Note the author’s use of the term “occupying entity” instead of the word “Israel.” Despite the recognition of Israel by some authoritarian regimes in the ME, most street Arabs deny the existence of the Israeli state on the land it illegally wrested from the Palestinians. To show their contempt for this state, which they deem illegal and criminal, they refuse to use the word Israel and instead refer to an “occupying entity” or “Zionist entity.”

Al-Arouri’s assassination: Washington is convinced of the need to sacrifice Netanyahu
American officials confirmed what the Israeli Prime Minister refused to admit publicly, despite all the evidence of the occupation entity’s involvement in the assassination of the leader of the Hamas movement, Saleh Al-Arouri. This American confirmation was accompanied by statements that the United States was not aware of the assassination before it occurred. While US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the postponement of his visit to Beirut, claiming that this was not related to the assassination, the two sides are awaiting the repercussions of violating the rules of engagement and targeting the southern suburb of Beirut, which Hezbollah confirmed will not go unpunished.
[Al-Aruri was killed in Beirut]
The Washington Post quoted a senior American official as saying that the occupying entity is responsible for carrying out the operation. This was also confirmed by sources to Axios. While the sources who spoke to the Western media agreed that Israel did not inform the White House of its plan, but President Joe Biden was informed upon implementation.
This detail may not actually change anything or impose a fundamental change in the relationship between the two sides. But, in effect, it reveals Netanyahu's project to go far in achieving some goal that would help engineer a narrative of victory that could be presented to the Israeli street [grassroots] when a ceasefire is reached.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken postponed his visit to Israel until next Monday. The visit was supposed to take place on Thursday. While the statement stressed that the postponement was for technical reasons, some linked the postponement to the assassination operation and the White House’s prior knowledge of it. Further, the departure of the aircraft carrier from the Mediterranean Sea may be placed in the same context.
The US aircraft carrier Gerald Ford left the Middle East during the past few days, spending days off the Greek coast, triggering waves of discontent towards its reception. While this decision raised Israel's concern about losing a deterrent factor, analysts linked the carrier's departure to the American desire to send a message to the entity that the time has come to stop the war. On the other hand, it can be said that the decision comes against the backdrop of the American desire to convey a message to the entity that there is no time to complete the military operation without achieving goals. It would endanger American interests and turn the American presence in the region into dangerous targets for those lurking in it and on other fronts, in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, with the inability to confine the confrontations in Yemen to the Red Sea, especially after the recent American attack on the Yemeni naval forces. The Commander of the Coastal Defense Forces, Major General Muhammad al-Qadiri, confirmed this in an interview with the “Trenches” website, saying, “Yemen will respond and has set a target that will not be limited to the Red Sea, but may include the bases where the Americans and Zionists are stationed.”[This would be the “wider war” that the Biden team fears. This fear explains why the US hesitates to take further military steps against Hamas and the Houthis (although the US forces did dare to sink some small Houthi speed boats, killing 10 fighters]
The assassination of the martyr Al-Arouri comes within the “phase of eliminating Hamas leaders,” as the Israeli media put it. But the American [US regime], who did not hesitate to provide support to the entity in its various crimes, is increasingly concerned about involvement in another confrontation as well. The Turkish National Intelligence Organization and the Anti-Terrorism Bureau of the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office announced that they "detained 33 suspects as part of an operation aimed at disrupting Mossad's efforts to target foreign nationals in the country... suspects were arrested in eight provinces."
All these Israeli attempts to compensate for the failure in the Gaza Strip, which have reached the point of risking violation of the rules of engagement, may not protect Netanyahu from the evil of the White House firstly and his [internal political] opposition secondly as the latter two come together with the conviction that the key to getting out of the bottleneck is to abandon Bibi to begin a new phase. Open fronts in the region will not be the lesser of evils for the entity.

The article below, translated from Russian, relates to an opinion expressed in the respected German TV channel Welt.
I had presented a translation of an article yesterday quoting top Ukraine commander Zaluzhny claiming that Ukrainian air defenses had shot down all 10 out of 10 Kinzhal missiles that attacked Kiev. Zaluzhny made this claim long after air force commander Ignat had said live on TV that Ukrainian air defenses are incapable of shooting down the Kinzhal, which is hypersonic and zigzags unpredictably.
Thus, Zaluzhny was clearly lying shamelessly and the article goes on to say that the readers in the accompanying forum to the TV presentation mocked this lie.
I also linked to an article from a Bulgarian site explaining in detail why the Kinzhal cannot be shot down.
The following article appearing in translation shows that another war reporter, this time a German, states that even the much slower Kh-32 missile cannot be shot down.

Welt: Patriot air defense system cannot cope with attacks by Russian Kh-32missiles on Ukraine
American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems supplied to Ukraine cannot intercept Russian supersonic Kh-32 missiles, Welt TV channel correspondent Guido Schmidke said.
The journalist explained that Western air defense systems have not yet shot down a single Kh-32. Thus, the Russian Armed Forces have weapons that can effectively overcome Western missile defenses.
Schmidke noted that one of the main advantages of the Kh-32 was its high speed - up to 5,400 kilometers per hour. [Yes, but that is only supersonic, NOT hypersonic. My point here is that if the slower Kh-32 cannot be shot down, then certainly the HYPERsonic Kinzhal could not be shot down either and all these silly claims of Ukraine’s air defenses shooting down Kinzhals are just hot air intended to con the US regime into believing Kiev can still win, thus incentivizing them to keep sending arms and money. And yet, US msm and even the Pentagon regurgitated the bogus claims from the Kiev regime, demonstrating the low IQs and incompetence of these US “authorities.” The fact is that even the politically correct Germans are now admitting that Russia has superior weapons and is not likely to lose the war]
At the moment, there is little reliable information about the Kh-32. From open sources it follows that the missile’s range of action is from 600 to 1000 kilometers, and its flight altitude is 40 kilometers. The Kh-32 is aimed at its target using an inertial navigation system and active radar.
