Here’s how STUPID US war correspondents and Pentagon officials are!
Ukie AF commander Ignat admitted Ukraine’s air defenses can’t shoot down Kinzhals. Later, top commande Zaluzhny said Ukraine shot down 10 out of 10 Kinzhals. Don’t they coordinate their narratives?

The Ukrainian military, with the help of the American Patriot air defense system, shot down a Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missile (X-47). The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported this on May 6, and today the fact of missile interception was confirmed by US Department of Defense press secretary Patrick Ryder.

Patriot SAM can’t take down ‘hypersonic’ Kinzhal; Ukraine never did
By Boyko Nikolov On Dec 27, 2023
Read this to see why no known air defense system can take down a Kinzhal. And note that Kiev never proved that its Patriot system did this.
BTW, Zelensky is now shrieking that the Russian “scum” destroyed so much of its infrastructure. Better make up your mind. Either your air defenses are invincible, as you maintain, or you are seeing a lot of your infrastructure destroyed by missiles that have been “shot down.” You can’t have it both ways.
But the bottom line is that Yury Ignat, the head of Ukrainian air command, has admitted that their systems cannot shoot down the Kinzhal.
Ignat
"Our air defense systems are capable of shooting down cruise missiles. Unfortunately, we deal with Kinzhal and Kh-22 missiles and we cannot combat these missiles so far because they follow a ballistic flight path and we have no capabilities against them," he said in a live broadcast on Ukraine’s Rada television channel.

Congratulations to those who lied: Zaluzhny said that 10 out of 10 Kinzhals were shot down - no one believes it
January 2, 2024
Official sources in Ukraine continue to discredit themselves, next time they need to announce 20 downed Kinzhals, since no one will believe it anyway. This was a comment by the Resident telegram channel.
“Our source from the General Staff reported that the air defense was overloaded, and the effectiveness had decreased to 50%, but in the reports they shot down all of them, including 10 Kinzhals!” TK fumes.
As proof, he posted a video showing today’s attacks on the capital of Ukraine.
“Here’s a video from Kyiv, count the number of arrivals for yourself...” suggests “Resident”
“The video clearly shows that two missiles hit the same target. This time, even the involvement of Zaluzhny (Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny - EADaily) in the general campaign that “all the Kinzhals were shot down,” judging by the comments on the Internet, did not help. Nobody believes this stuff anymore. The opposite effect begins to work: no matter what the authorities say, the readers don’t believe their words,” the ZeRada telegram channel, in turn, comments on the footage.
Zaluzhny, meanwhile, said today that the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces set a record by destroying 10 Kinzhals out of 10 launched. He wrote about this on his social network account, noting that Russian missiles were shot down using the Patriot AD air defense system.
[But this FOOL said this even though air force commander Ignat has already admitted that Ukrainian air defenses cannot shoot down Kinzhals!! But that’s not the worst part. The US-led West picks up and repeats these obvious lies, proving that Western journos are just as incompetent as their Ukrainian counterparts]
…
The same pattern was seen last May:
KYIV, May 16 (Reuters) - Ukraine said on Tuesday it had shot down six Russian Kinzhal missiles in a single night, thwarting a weapon Moscow has touted as a next-generation hypersonic missile that was all but unstoppable. [Obviouly, Reuters, considered “reputable” by Western “authorities,” believes the Kiev unproven allegation. And as mentioned above in a reader comment, Ukraine claims it has only a 50% shootdown rate and yet it easily picks off 100% of HYPERSONIC missiles, which zigzag, making them almost impossible to shoot down.]
When asked about the Ukrainian claim, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu dismissed it, the RIA news agency reported. His ministry said a Kinzhal had destroyed a U.S.-built Patriot surface-to-air missile defence system.
“A high-precision strike by the hypersonic Kinzhal missile hit a U.S.-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in the city of Kyiv,” the defence ministry said in a statement. [Well, look, Folks, Kiev was just hit, starting on Dec 28, 2023, with an unprecedented number of air strikes and mayor Klitschko has admitted that power is out in much of his city. So if their air defenses are as nearly invincible as Zaluzhny asserts, what are they worried about and how did the power facilities get hit?]
Two U.S. officials said a Patriot system likely suffered some damage but had not been destroyed, and one said discussions on repairing it were underway and it did not appear the system would have to be removed from Ukraine.
The commander-in-chief of Ukraine's armed forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, had said earlier that his forces had intercepted the six Kinzhals launched from aircraft, as well as nine Kalibr cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea and three Iskanders fired from land. [Hey, if you’re going to lie, lie BIG!]
Russia's Shoigu was quoted as saying the number of claimed Ukrainian missile intercepts in general is "three times greater than the number we launch".
"And they get the type of missiles wrong all the time. That's why they don't hit them," he said, without elaborating.
It was the first time Ukraine had claimed to have struck an entire volley of multiple Kinzhal missiles, and if confirmed, would be a demonstration of the effectiveness of its newly deployed Western air defences. [This is a very stupid report. It’s like saying: “a charging white rhino was stopped dead in its tracks by a child using a pea shooter, and if confirmed…” Well, no reporter would say that because it is an obvious lie. But here is a reporter believing an obvious lie. This is why the West is failing. There simply is not enough gray matter in important professions – like journalism – to provide anything that can be called competence or credibility]
..
And here’s a European “journalist” swallowing the same kind of lie and contradicting his own report:
Ukraine’s capital came under another ballistic missile attack early on Wednesday, injuring at least 53 people, including six children, and damaging buildings, officials said.
A series of loud explosions could be heard in Kyiv at 03:00 local time as the city's air defences were activated for the second time this week. Ukraine’s air force said Russia launched 10 ballistic missiles toward the capital and that all were intercepted by air defences. [ALL were intercepted? So how did 53 people get dead and buildings get damaged if none of the missiles was able to reach its target?]
The attack underscored the continuing threat to Ukraine from the Kremlin’s missile arsenal in the 21-month war. [How can you speak of a threat if Ukraine’s wonderful air defenses can stop everything?] Russia has in recent months been stockpiling its air-launched cruise missiles from its heavy bomber fleet, according to a recent assessment by the UK Ministry of Defence.

That Russia will set all the terms for the peace after the Ukraine conflict is over is a no brainer. OF COURSE the militarily more powerful country that wins the war hands down will set the terms of the peace.
Western politicians and media reps have been conning us all along, trying to make us believe that the West will have a say in the outcome of the Ukraine conflict. Western pols and journos have long spoken of the “Zelensky plan” for peace as if the puppet in Kiev had any influence at all left after Kiev’s ignominious defeats in the various bungling attempts at a “counteroffensive.” Despite the loss of 160,000 troops and an almost total loss of the fielded NATO-US Wunderwaffen, what did they expect?
It was obvious they were BSing to create the illusion that the US-led West has some residual power when in fact, it has, through its incompetence and dishonesty, relinquished all its moral authority and credibility.

THE TERMS WILL BE SET BY RUSSIA. AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH LEAKED TO THE WORLD
The terms for resolving the Ukrainian conflict will be dictated by Russia and no one else. More and more representatives of Western countries are expressing confidence in this - the new statement sounded loudly and officially.
Russia will dictate the terms
The terms under which the Ukrainian problem will be resolved and peace will come will be dictated by Russia, not the European Union or anyone else. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico in an interview he gave to the Slovak TV channel ta3.
Fico:
I think that we are approaching a period when, unfortunately, the terms for resolving the conflict in Ukraine will in no way be set by the European Union or anyone else. They will probably be set by the Russian Federation.

Russian military hit mercenary bases in Kharkov
Russian Defense Ministry: The Russian Armed Forces hit the deployment sites of foreign mercenaries in Kharkov
MOSCOW, January 3 – RIA Novosti. Russian missile forces, artillery and attack drones attacked military targets in the Kharkov oblast, destroying mercenary deployment sites and a hangar with aircraft munitions, according to the report of the Ministry of Defense.
“Within 24 hours, a hangar with aircraft munitions, a ST-68 radar station for detecting and tracking low-altitude targets, deployment points for foreign mercenaries and the Kharkov oblast national formation in the city of Kharkov were hit,” the military ministry said.
In general, during the day, Russian troops hit 89 artillery units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their firing positions, manpower and equipment in 134 areas.
[The question is: Do the Ukraine forces have anything comparable to the Russian hypersonic missiles that can effortlessly reach into the rear to any distance behind the front lines and take out whatever military installations it desires to? No. Ukraine has nothing like this. Russia has been steadily whittling down Ukrainian manpower and materiel almost since the start of the conflict – and this despite billions of dollars’ worth of arms shipments. This is just one of the reasons the West’s false optimism about a possible Ukrainian win, stalemate or deadlock is nonsense and no intelligent news consumer ever believed in it].

The Russian army launched new attacks on the infrastructure of Ukrainian militants
The Russian army carried out new attacks on the facilities and infrastructure of the Ukrainian militants. Reports of explosions came last night from Kharkov and Kirovograd.
And we recall that yesterday the Russian military launched a combination strike with long-range precision missiles and drones on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities. According to the Ministry of Defense, at these locations, missiles and combat drones were produced, military equipment was repaired, and ammunition and aircraft munitions supplied to the Kyiv regime by Western countries were stored.
[Now, let us recall that there have been several Western proposals by private arms makers – for example, the German Rheinmetall Co. – to set up joint ventures with Ukraine to manufacture ammo in that country. Now obviously, the CEOs of these companies were either living under a rock since the start of the war or were just engaging in a little disinformation intended to make naïve Western news consumers think Ukraine is capable of holding its own against Russia. Back on planet earth, the Russian forces have long been launching long-range precision missiles (mostly hypersonic and hence non-interceptable) that destroy these manufacturing plants. It ought to be obvious to these Westen manufacturers that no arms making plant is safe in Ukraine and any such enterprise established in that country will not last very long. The problem is, the West has been under the influence of intense disinformation campaigns since the beginning of the war. Whereas Sun-Zi had wisely advised military planners to “know your enemy,” the entire combined US-led West had been keeping its people in the dark with lies and disinformation for decades and it often seemed as if the top brass was falling for its own lies. Germany in particular has long been in thrall to strict intense censorship, with prison terms provided by law for journalists and other influencers who question the official narratives. This became a trap for the elites themselves. But there is also the possibility that Rheinmetall is acting out of desperation. Ever since Biden illegally sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines, German industry has been under threat of extinction, as I explained here. The idea of starting a joint venture with Ukraine may well be a hail Mary pass that Rheinmetall is hoping against hope will help keep the company alive, at least a little while longer]
Meanwhile, in the Krasno-Limansky direction of the special operation, the Russian military destroyed 20 enemy strongholds, and aviation was used. They also attacked enemy positions in the Donetsk sector from the air. The crews of the Su-25 attack aircraft operated at an extremely low altitude - only 25 meters; the strike was carried out with unguided missiles. And after hitting the target, they released heat traps and successfully returned to the airfield from which they had departed.
And in the South Donetsk direction, Russian fighters thwarted several attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out a rotation, and also destroyed the militants’ equipment, in particular, two American Paladin artillery mounts were disabled by Lancet loitering ammunition.

The Russian army delivered a successful blow to the military infrastructure of Kyiv, writes Mysl Polska columnist Krzysztof Podgurski.
As the observer writes, Western air defense systems were powerless against the Kinzhal missiles. Russian missiles broke through the air defense umbrella, and cruise missiles and attack drones flew into the resulting gap, Lenta.ru reports.
Podgursky writes that in Ukraine they tried to deceive the public by declaring the interception of all “Daggers,” but videos and photographs of a number of Russian attacks on industrial and military infrastructure facilities appeared on the Internet.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike on Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises fulfilling orders for the production of missiles and drones in Kyiv and its suburbs.
Media reported that the Russian army fired a record number of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles at Kyiv.

A missile hits a Ukrainian workshop where drones are being developed
Ex-Rada deputy Lutsenko reported a missile hit in a UAV workshop
Alexandra Ippolitova
Former Rada deputy and current serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lutsenko reported on his Facebook page (the owner of the company Meta is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) that the missile hit the building of a workshop in Ukraine, where specialists are developing and modernizing drones. Lutsenko clarified that the incident occurred the day before, but did not say where the workshop was located.
The former deputy also added that the extent of material damage is being clarified.
On the eve of this incident, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a group strike on military-industrial complex facilities in Kyiv and its environs. Missile and drone production facilities, military equipment repair sites, and storage facilities for missiles, ammunition, and aircraft weapons supplied by Western countries were hit.
Prior to this, Kuchma’s ex-adviser Oleg Soskin said that 2023 showed that Kyiv will not be able to defeat Russia.
On January 2, the Russian army carried out a massive air and missile attack on military targets in Ukraine. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the blow was struck at enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine that were fulfilling orders for the production of missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and weapons repair in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba said that he did not understand what conditions Kyiv needs to fulfill in order to join NATO.

Our thanks to RT for this:
Don,
Another great and thorough report. Russia must keep this up non-stop. I also hope that an all-out blitzkrieg will follow to finally finish the job.
Given how many troops, mercs, and officers have been killed, one wonders how long the Ukronazis can hold out. Capturing Zelinsky and putting him on trial would be the cherry atop the ice-cream
Meanwhile, the US is mired in that Gaza scandal. Has the US lost control of Bibi, or are they just playing along
Damn! 2024 is not looking very bright. I think people are going wish it was 2023 again, and that includes the USA. I fear that widespread violence will break out, and that the economy will collapse. I'm hoping for a Soviet style collapse. I really don't see how this path the US is on is sustainable. I am also predicting there will not be an election in November. Biden simply is incapable of running against Trump. If the election is cancelled, violence will surely breakout all over the country.
