sorry Lisa: the statement that "...in the absence of a deity, many turn to other frameworks to explain reality and truth...." is far too general. humans are limited in many ways and at best reality and truth, rather than explained, can be described. with an important role for the arts and including those other pesky (because immeasurable) notions like inspiration, emotion, dreams, morality, idealism etc. otherwise: nice article, thank you.
I don't know who your source is but you should follow michael yon @ Michael's newsletter here on substack. He's been reporting from Panama and Darien gap for a long time. He has pictures and videos that show a very different story than your source. Also I highly recommend the bureau for news on Canada and how much the PRC has infiltrated there.
