Russian fingerprints on undersea cable sabotage?
Remember the sabotage to the Nord Stream pipelines? Well, the Russians never will forget it. This is probably only the first.
Sadly, the West hurt a lot more than just Russia with this sleazy caper. It brought down the once-prosperous German economy and the rest of Europe. If indeed it was Russia that pulled off this sabotage, I suspect there will be many more iterations. Read the below translation for details.
Norway, which, according to journalist Seymour Hersh, was involved in the American terrorist attack to undermine the Nord Stream, itself became a victim of underwater sabotage. Their underwater surveillance system suddenly failed. And they immediately began to say that this was a logical answer for Nord Streams. And there was a Russian trace. Interesting story. Let's figure it out. [Of interest here is that Russia gets blamed for a whole host of misdeeds of which it is innocent. In this case, however, it is in Russia’s interest to have the West strongly suspect Russia because this sabotage is a warning – as well as a retribution.]
We are talking about an underwater surveillance system consisting of a cable, microphones and recording equipment installed on the seabed. Using this system, scientists monitor marine animals, environmentalists monitor offshore drilling platforms, and the military monitors Russian warships.
The institute maintaining this system discovered that the devices had stopped transmitting data. It took the Norwegians several months to prepare the ship and send a deep-sea drone to determine the cause of the accident. When the drone reached the bottom, it turned out that a piece of cable and expensive equipment were missing. They were uprooted and carried away.
Who took them?
Suspicion fell on the Russians, since Moscow had both motive and opportunity. The Norwegian system helped monitor Russian ships. Norway is part of NATO. And NATO is an enemy bloc that has set the goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. Therefore, it is part of enemy infrastructure and a legitimate military target for Moscow. [Interesting fact!]
In addition, the Russians have not forgotten about the destroyed Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. According to American investigator Seymour Hersh, they were blown up by American military specialists with the active participation of Norwegian colleagues. [Hersh specifically fingered the Biden team]
The Russians also had opportunities. Russia has one of the largest submarine fleets in the world. You can, for example, launch a special mine from a submarine, which will blow up the desired section of the enemy’s underwater infrastructure. We also have the Poseidon underwater drone, the capabilities of which are still completely unknown, because the device is partially classified.
However, it is worth noting that Oslo has no evidence of Russia’s involvement in the damage to the underwater system.
Russia's position on Nord Streams
A lot has been said. But now we propose to turn to the most structured statement of the end of April. At that time, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, made a number of harsh statements on the topic “the guard is tired.” He called what was happening "theater of the absurd."
Firstly, the Russian diplomat accused Western countries of “outright sabotage” in the draft UN Security Council statement proposed by Russia on the “destruction” of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. According to him, “Western countries generally found it extremely inconvenient to make any reference to the terrorist nature of what happened.” But what is this if not a terrorist attack?
Secondly, Nebenzya noted that, nevertheless, it was with this statement that Sweden and Denmark completed their national investigations: three “branches of the Nord Stream were deliberately destroyed by explosive devices.” The Permanent Representative of Russia could not hide his indignation that these countries did not find “any grounds for continuing criminal proceedings within their jurisdiction.” That is, there is a crime, but “no one is going to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”
Thirdly, Nebenzya demanded that leading Western countries explain the “demonstrative sabotage” of efforts to internationally investigate sabotage on the Baltic Russian gas pipelines and do this “not like the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland,” but as representatives of states that are permanent members of the UN Security Council .
Fourthly, the Russian diplomat was outraged that insurance companies refuse to pay compensation to Nord Stream AG, claiming that Nord Stream suffered as a result of “military actions.” Nebenzya called these claims "a ridiculous narrative from the Western political and media establishment":
It would be extremely interesting to know what kind of armed conflict is taking place in the area of the island of Bornholm - in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark and Sweden? And are these states themselves aware of this?
Nebenzya made another important statement. From the UN rostrum, he said: “I want to assure you that no matter how hard the perpetrators try, they will not escape the response. Our country will continue to use all the tools at our disposal for these purposes.” [and I think it goes without saying that the damage done in response will be difficult or impossible to trace back to Russia]
In connection with the mention of “instruments”, it should be said that Moscow’s warnings coincided with the completion of repairs after a fire four years ago of the unique nuclear silent deep-sea submarine AS-12 Losharik... So.
And if you think about it. How could this be realized?
“Losharik” is, indeed, what worries the collective West in light of the terrorist attacks on Nord Stream. But not only them...
In the summer of 2024, the saboteur submarine, of which the United States and NATO are mortally afraid, will be tested to be ready for the “war of underwater communications.” The submarine, which is almost impossible to detect using acoustic means and magnetometry, capable of operating at a depth of up to 6 thousand meters, rolling along the bottom on... wheels, can sneak unnoticed into the location of any underwater objects...
In particular, Sergei Latyshev, candidate of historical sciences and Constantinople observer, spoke earlier about the risk of using such a submarine:
The West should think ten times whether it should change its behavior in connection with the sabotage of Nord Stream. At a minimum, the United States is required to publicly apologize, punish those responsible who represent one of the clans of American power, compensate Russia and other countries for financial losses, and promise to behave decently in the future. But since the US clearly won’t do this, that means... It will be interesting. Pipelines, cables, bridges, alas, periodically fail. In addition, the American [sructures] are usually old, and restoring (remember Baltimore) and building new ones lacks the lost competencies. Let's see who wins this game, the score of which is not in our favor yet. [which means there is more to come!]
And then there’s just a global failure...
No, this is not about Losharik. But it’s also remarkable.
Literally on the morning of July 19 (Moscow time), a large-scale failure occurred in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Users reported experiencing BSOD (blue screen of death) errors on Windows 10 devices. The company explained that the outage began the day before due to a “configuration change in internal Azure workloads” that “caused outages between storage and computation resources, resulting in connection failures affecting Microsoft 365 services that depend on these connections." The problem was caused by an update to CrowdStrike's antivirus program.
The failure disrupted the work of air carriers, airports, media outlets, and banks around the world. Thus, the largest American airlines American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines and Frontier Airlines announced the suspension of flights, and the work of Sydney airports and Berlin-Brandenburg airport was disrupted. [This shows how seriously disruptive a Russian attack on underwater cables can be]
Billionaire Elon Musk called the failure of Microsoft computer systems around the world "the biggest failure in the history of IT." He wrote about this on the social network X/Twitter. US President Joe Biden has also been briefed on the global Microsoft outage and his team is in contact with affected companies, the White House said.
Leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin confirmed to Tsargrad that the source of all the problems was the company CrowdStrike, which deals with information security. Everyone who used their solutions - large corporations, airlines, railroads, post offices, stock exchanges, and so on - experienced failure.
A census of those who didn't have a plan B, in fact. This has never happened in history, Eldar Murtazin noted in a conversation with Tsargrad.
He added that the problem has still not been fully resolved. But this did not affect Russia because we do not have CrowdStrike clients in Russia, just like we do not have Microsoft clients. And China was not affected by this either - for the same reasons.
The head of the Telecom Daily agency, Denis Kuskov, also noted that the main victims in this whole story are companies with a single software.
The expert notes that a global failure could have been prevented if the system had been promptly updated and rolled back to a working level. But it is obvious that this could not be done quickly...
So the United States and the collective West will have many “black swans”. Quite a few.

Iskanders destroyed two loaded military echelons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ivan Petrov
The most powerful strike by our missiles was recorded last weekend at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which they still occupy on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.
Iskander missile systems cause terror among the enemy, since the accuracy of their missiles is close to one hundred percent. This time they eliminated two trains. / Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation
“Crews of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems launched a group missile strike on two military echelons (each with 20 platforms) with personnel and military equipment of units of the 41st mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the village of Barvenkovo in the DPR,” they reported in the military department and published video footage of the destruction of the trains.

It is clarified that control of the results of fire damage was carried out using Orlan-10 drones.
Last weekend, the Russian military traditionally published a weekly summary of the progress of the special operation.
“From July 13 to 19, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out 11 group strikes with high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial strike vehicles on enemy air bases, energy facilities that supported the operation of Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, and air defense and electronic warfare systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” it says.
“The locations of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, trains with weapons and military equipment, warehouses for storing ammunition, including those supplied by Western countries, and materiel were also hit,” the military department said, emphasizing that the goals of the strikes were achieved and all designated targets were hit.

Ukraine is burning. Russia carried out one of the longest attacks with “Gerans”
Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine using Geran drones and missiles. The “unmanned attack” was one of the longest in the history of the North Military District, it lasted more than five hours.
Minus one more power plant
As usual, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Nikolai Oleshchuk, cheerfully reported that all the drones were shot down, and the missiles were diverted from their targets with the help of electronic warfare. From his report it became known that on the night of July 21, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with the help of Gerans, Iskanders and stealth air-to-ground missiles X-69.

More details
The cheerful reports hardly reassured the Ukrainians. Local monitoring groups wrote about explosions throughout the country: in Poltava, Chernigov, Kyiv, Nikolaev, Odessa, Krivoy Rog and Sumy oblasts.
It later became known from the oblast military administration (OMA) of the Sumy oblast that those aircraft missiles that had “deviated far from the target” had arrived there. According to the OVA report, the missile and air strike hit “critical infrastructure facilities in the Shostka oblast.” We are probably talking about the Shostkinskaya CHPP, which runs on natural gas. However, the concept of “critical infrastructure facilities” may hide other interesting goals.
More details
The military industry is very developed in Shostka. Various types of ammunition are produced by Impulse. Zvezda is almost the only enterprise in Ukraine producing tank rounds, ammunition for artillery and pyroxylin powders for various weapons systems. The Chemical Products Research Institute has been developing explosives since 1969.

Women and children are being targeted intentionally, say Israeli whistleblowers. From ground troops to commanders, the rules of war have been shredded.
The savagery, cruelty, thuggery and inhumanity of the Israeli killing machine, supported by Biden and glossed over by Starmer, is beyond the imagination of civilised people.
