Why is no one asking Trump his opinion on Palestine issue?
America could very well be saddled with another genocide supporter. Let's at least ask him his opinion on the genocide -- NOT on Biden's "weak response to Hamas."
There are groups all over the US, big ones and little ones, holding Democrat officials to account for their support for the genocide in Palestine.
One group heckled Hillary during a lecture and called her out for genocide in Palestine.
Another group heckled Pelosi in the halls of Congress, calling her out for supporting genocide for money.
(your air strike update for Feb 10, 2024 is below this article)
These are almost certainly effective actions. Grassroots political pressure had already driven Biden to issue stronger statements against Netanyahu and push for a (toothless) law requiring Israel to report on its progress in humanitarian actions.
But in the face of pressure from both the ICJ and the US grassroots, Biden still refuses to stop military and economic aid to a country whose people enjoy a higher per capita income than the Americans, who have no guarantees of medical care, while Israelis do have government assistance.
The big question that no one (except me) is asking now is:
Where does Trump stand on Palestine?
It’s an important question because we might wind up with Trump II in November, for better or or worse.
Well, Trump did say that Hezbollah was “smaht” but that just goes to show that like most US politicians, he identifies resistance groups (which they call “Iran-backed” -- meaning very bad --groups) with the Palestinian people, and that is an ignorant stance. It does not signal any sympathy for the Palestinians and their precarious plight. It just solidifies a counterproductive bias.
So far, we can almost deduce from Trump’s lack of interest in this issue that if he is elected president, the entire Palestinian people may simply be exterminated. Building a bigger border wall in Texas won’t help them a bit.
Trump showed nothing but contempt for the Palestinians in his last term. In fact, he was the very first president ever to stop US aid to Palestine, leaving these people in a very precarious position. He generally seemed to hate Muslims for that matter, and issued an anti-Muslim travel ban. Of course, let’s admit, he only did all this for Israel.
You might even say he indirectly emboldened Netanyahu to cut off food, energy, medicine and water to Gaza during Biden’s term.
The Gazans are now starving, and you can bet that Netanyahu is praying that Trump gets re-elected in November, believing that Donald will not pressure him as much as Biden did (which was ineffective but embarrassing).
After all, it was mostly Democrat young people who took the initiative to embarrass the ruling party’s elites in public and raise Cain in the public space in support of Palestine.
Bibi might well assume that the GOP either doesn’t care about genocide or in fact supports it. From my perspective, having visited radical right Evangelical forums on FB, I definitely get the impression that the fundamentalists resent people who go to bat for the Palestinians. The so-called religious right’s behavior suggests to me that they think Israel is guided by the Almighty even when it tramples on the Ten Commandments. Netanyahu capitalized on this fatal flaw of the fundies when he quoted the OT passage in which God told the Israelites to kill men, women, children and even the domestic animals among the Amalekites, but the Amalekites were unrelated to the Palestinians of today, so this was an outrageous perversion of the scriptures in support of genocide.
I am fairly certain that the majority of older Evangelicals believed, after Bibi’s biblical support of genocide, that God had spoken personally to Bibi and WANTED the Palestinian children all killed, along with everyone else. (Yes, this is what American “Christianity” has become! Or rather it’s been that way for a century).
Trump knows that if he showed sympathy for the Palestinians or opposed the genocide, he would be rejected by a fair number of these addled cultists.
On the other hand, if enough people and groups confronted him at his rallies with his lack of sympathy with the Palestinians, he would have to think hard about his position on the matter and would have to throw a sop to these people, who represent a sizeable demographic.
Being a consummate American politician, if he is asked about his opinion on the genocide, he is most likely to respond evasively, smearing Biden for being weak on Hamas, which is beside the point. The person asking this question needs to be prepared for this attempt to evade and to guide him back to the actual issue of genocide.
Does Trump think Bibi was justified in killing and wounding 100,000, that is, does he agree with Bibi that the Palestinian people need to be punished collectively for what Hamas did?
And would Trump have the guts to say to Bibi: Stop bombing residences or lose US support? Just those very words and no pussy-footing around?
All caring Americans need at this point is a promise that Trump will NOT throw the Palestinians to the dogs.

Russian military attacked an Ukrainian Armed Forces oil depot in Kharkov
RIA Novosti: drones of the Russian Armed Forces hit an oil depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkov
Daria Rodionova
The Russian Armed Forces attacked an oil depot in the city of Kharkov, hitting 11 pieces of equipment of Ukrainian troops. This was announced by the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev, RIA Novosti reports. [The fact that there can even be a Nikolaev underground attests to the fact that Nikolaev is in the heart of an overwhelmingly Russian-speaking and hence pro-Russian territory of what is still Ukraine. The inhabitants there far outnumber the Ukrainian Nazis]
The man provided journalists with footage that captured the moment of the strike on the infrastructure facility. In particular, flashes of flame are visible in the recording and the sounds of explosions are heard.
“Late in the evening of February 9, Russian drones struck an oil depot in Kharkov. It is known that the oil depot stored fuel and lubricants (fuel and lubricants - Gazeta.Ru), used by Ukrainian military equipment and means of transporting Ukrainian military personnel,” Lebedev said.
He added that the Russian military attacked the facility when there was a maximum amount of fuel on its territory. As a result, nearby warehouses and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were damaged. This includes fuel tankers and tanks.
In addition, according to the agency, the Russian Armed Forces hit several premises near the oil depot. Ukrainian soldiers who came for fuel stopped here, said the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground.
On February 10, the head of the investigation department of the Kharkov region police, Sergei Bolvinov, said that a fire occurred at an oil depot in the administrative center of the region. According to him, the object caught fire due to night explosions.
Earlier, a fire occurred at a gas station in Kharkov.

Russian forces carried out new attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces targets in the Odessa and Kharkov regions
Powerful attack on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities. There has been a fire in Kharkov for several hours now. Presumably, the strikes targeted fuel warehouses and enterprises involved in the supply of equipment to the army. Authorities have confirmed that the industrial zone is on fire. Strong explosions are also reported in the Nikolaev region, in the cities of Izmail and Kiliya in the Odessa oblast, and in Odessa [city] itself. As Telegram channels write, strikes are in the port area.

Last night the Russian Army launched a massive attack on the Ukrainian military rear
The strike targeted facilities that are used to supply militants with fuel, ammunition, equipment and drones. Explosions thundered in the harbors of the Odessa oblast - Russian drones targeted the port infrastructure. But the following footage came from Kharkov: an oil depot there was destroyed, and the location of foreign mercenaries was covered, and other targets as well.
Irina Kuksenkova will tell you in detail. Watch her report.

Ministry of Defense report: Ukrainian fuel depots and bases of foreign mercenaries were hit
There are many events in the special operation zone. High-precision long-range strikes on the Ukrainian military rear, where the appointment of a new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine played into our hands [Zelensky fired the popular Zaluzhny and replaced him with another general, who has the nickname Butcher; the paranoid Ze was afraid Zaluzhny might replace him. The ensuing confusion created a chaotic situation that the Russians were able to take advantage of today]. Destruction of the enemy S-300 air defense system, a report from the Ministry of Defense for the week and an inspection by the head of the department at the plant where the Lancets are produced.

More Russian commentary on Putin interview
"US EMPIRE IN RUINS": PUTIN'S INTERVIEW HAS UNDERMINED AMERICANS' FAITH IN DEMOCRACY
Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin on social network X received more than 100 million views in just the first day, according to data on the American journalist’s page. Most likely, the number of views will break all records.
It is obvious that Vladimir Putin’s interview was aimed at a wide American audience in order to answer current global issues on the political agenda, which primarily relate to the confrontation between Russia and the West in Ukraine.
Apparently, the Western media decided to simply ignore Putin’s interview with Carlson. Although the European Commission watched it, they did not hear anything new, Nabila Massrali, a representative of the European External Action Service, said at a briefing in Brussels.
The reaction of European officials is not surprising, since in the West they didn’t want to hear us and still don’t want to. Also, none of them said what theses they would like to hear, but it’s not difficult to guess. If they are not ready to consider our position seriously, then there can be no talk of diplomacy.
The effect of the interview in the world is already noticeable, at least it has definitely sobered up the ordinary people who pay out of their own pockets for the supply of ammunition to Ukraine. In addition, this will clearly affect the political struggle before the November presidential elections in the United States.
The reaction of the Americans, whose president the day before probably confused a late French president with the current leader of the republic, Emmanuel Macron, looks very revealing.
Following an investigation into the mishandling of classified documents that called Biden "an elderly man with good intentions and a poor memory," the White House chief rejected criticism of his memory and again misspoke as the Egyptian president.
Putin gave Carlson a complete lecture on the history of Russia and Ukraine, coming to the conclusion that the conflict contains elements of civil war, and relations between the peoples “will still be restored.”
Users of the social network X from the United States were shocked by an almost 30-minute history lesson from the Russian President. In their opinion, Joe Biden would not have succeeded “without an attack of dementia.”
“Wow! The leader of a country who can teach an entire 30-minute history lesson without going into dementia. It's no wonder the Biden administration didn't want the interview to air,” one of the users commented.
"Putin spent over 28 minutes recounting over 1,000 years of Eastern European history without a single note in his hand. Biden has no idea what he had for lunch," wrote another.
“It is obvious that Putin is much more mentally healthy, educated and smart than Biden or Trump. Only the most unconservative of non-conservatives can dispute this,” the American expressed his opinion.
“The difference between our leaders and other world leaders is the main reason why we still remain a third world country,” the social network noted.
Putin just spoke with Carlson for two hours about Russian history, the war in Ukraine and major geopolitical shifts. All without a script. Biden just confused the President of Egypt with the President of Mexico. The US Empire is in ruins, complained a user of X.
Famous American journalist Jackson Hinkle, who was detained at the US border last fall after returning from a trip to Russia, was also delighted with Putin’s interview. He expressed sympathy for the Russian President. The journalist's message received more than a million views.
Jackson Hinkle added that "while Putin is giving a two-hour lecture on geopolitical history and the future of a multipolar world, Biden can go to the toilet and do no. 2."
During the conversation, Putin said that the propaganda war with the United States is difficult to win, since the United States controls “all the world” and “very many European” media. But it seems that the Americans have begun to understand something. Tucker Carlson is the only one who had the courage to show this interview uncut, they believe.
Kudos to Tucker for having the courage to show this interview to the world despite attempts to smear him for it. The American corporate media (ABC, NBC, CNN, FOX) would deceptively edit this to control the narrative, an American noticed.
Immediately after it became known that Tucker Carlson arrived in Moscow to interview Vladimir Putin, the journalist was threatened with sanctions.
As Newsweek writes, citing former and current members of the European Parliament, the EU may consider introducing sanctions against American journalist Tucker Carlson. In addition, the former Fox News host was threatened with arrest. In turn, American billionaire Elon Musk said that such measures would alarm and offend the US public.
Tucker Carlson's secret mission in Russia: Interview with Putin just a cover?
The visit of American journalist Tucker Carlson to Russia demonstrates to the whole world that Moscow is capable of creating a global structure for the expansion of its soft power, Tsargrad political observer Andrei Perla noted in the program Скрытые смыслы [Skrytye Smysly/ Hidden Meanings].
That is, our country can influence people in the USA and Europe, using the Western opinion leaders themselves. Carlson's mission is to return to American society the traditional conservative understanding of freedom, democracy, and state sovereignty.
This is what he sincerely wants, and this is beneficial for Russia, since Moscow and its partners are implementing a global transition to a new world order - a multipolar model that should replace the hegemony of the United States.
Essentially, we are seeking to re-educate the West. And Tucker Carlson is one of our tools. If we now look at the United States, we will find that the relative majority of the American population would like to vote for [45th President of the United States Donald] Trump, that is, for the traditional, for the normal values that he represents, for his American dream, the expert emphasized.
He recalled the slogan Make America great again. This is a call to return to where the United States already had been, that is, to the mid-twentieth century, to the 1960s, when family was family, education was education, work was work.
Trump is certainly not the best choice, to be honest. In his place would be a man of the caliber of at least [40th US President Ronald] Reagan. But it is what it is. Apparently, the United States has reached the point where the red-haired clown suddenly turns into a defender of traditions,- Andrey Perla noted.
As for Carlson, he is indeed a very large and iconic figure. He is not only one of the most famous journalists, but also one of the main conservative intellectuals of the modern West.
I would liken Tucker Carlson to other Western intellectuals who visited Moscow at one time. For example, Lion Feuchtwanger or Romain Rolland. The appearance of such figures, large, enormous, in our country puts an end to attempts to ignore, cancel, despise, or belittle Russians in the West, concluded the First Russian columnist.

I’m no shrink, but Hillary's accusations appear to me to be a classic example of projection, which is a psychological process that involves attributing unacceptable thoughts, feelings, traits or behaviors to others that are actually your own characteristics.

“The most important first step on a journey that can save humanity.”
Analyst and former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter praised US journalist Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin Thursday, complimenting Carlson’s professionalism and Putin’s willingness for dialogue.
“The Russian president helped create a map, a map that guided not only Tucker Carlson, but every American viewer through the complexities of what makes Russia tick,” said Ritter. “What he did is provide information in a context that was approachable by an American audience.” “Tucker Carlson opened a door into modern day Russia, opened a door into the personality of Vladimir Putin, opened a door into the history of Russia, opened a door into the Russian soul,” added Ritter. “This is one of the most important interviews of the modern era, because this interview has the ability to stop the West and Russia from going to war, to stop the West from committing suicide.” Boost us! | Subscribe to @geopolitics_live

French politician Philippot: Putin's interview will make the West think
The interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin to American journalist Tucker Carlson will increase pressure on Western governments to support negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, as well as arms supplies to the Zelensky regime, Florian Philippot, leader of the French Patriots party, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
**
"It can change public opinion, which is very important. It can become less caricatured, more thoughtful and balanced, push for negotiations more and refuse to supply weapons and money to the regime of (Vladimir) Zelensky more. This is unequivocal," he said.
According to him, Western governments in general and the French in particular are "enslaved by NATO and the United States" and it will take something more for their position to change. At the same time, the speech of the Russian president is very important, since Western public opinion has heard a different point of view on what is happening in Ukraine.
Philippot added that Putin's interview would be a revelation for a large percentage of the audience in the West, since people are poorly familiar with the history of Ukraine and often could not find it on the map before the conflict began.
"Here they will hear a more complicated story. Those who are even a little interested in it, it will certainly make them think," the politician concluded.

Stories of wanton Israeli violence, devastation, hopelessness emerge from Gaza; Israeli forces detain two American citizens in Gaza; another Palestinian journalist killed; Israel's planned "buffer zone" is a war crime; UN committee calls for massive psychosocial support for children; 13 million tons of debris from war in Gaza; Palestinian administrative detainee dies in prison; Hulu broadcasts pro-Israel propaganda; Texas stabbing labeled a hate crime, and more
Al Jazeera reports: Seham al-Najjar and her family have nowhere else to run if Israel intensifies its assault on Rafah, a town in southernmost Gaza. She is living in fear that the world is going to allow Israel to commit massacres in Rafah.
“We are waiting to be martyred,” she said. “We know that wherever we go and whatever we do, we’ll be killed.”
Omar Shaki, the Israel-Palestine director at Human Rights Watch, said, “Gaza is one of the most densely populated places on Earth, and Rafah is now the most densely populated place in Gaza. Any sort of military campaign or air strike would amplify risks of disproportionate attacks.”
Even if Israel delays its offensive on Rafah, thousands of civilians could die of starvation in Gaza. Most have little access to food or clean water due to Israel’s policy of blocking the delivery of aid.
Israel has also razed farm areas as part of what Human Rights Watch said is a broader policy of using starvation as a weapon of war – a war crime.

Nigel Farage suggests West should be open to negotiations with Putin (msn.com)
Nigel Farage has suggested that the West should be more open to negotiating with Vladimir Putin.
The founder of Reform UK said he was “shocked” by the “absolute reluctance” to consider negotiations with Russia since Moscow invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
It comes after Putin, during an interview with Tucker Carlson, the US broadcaster, accused Boris Johnson of sabotaging a peace deal with Ukraine in the spring of that year.
Responding to the interview, Mr Farage told GB News: “After what was said last night, [Russia is] not going to stop and they’re switching vast amounts of their industrial production in Russia towards defence. They will never give up on this.
“Now, we can find much of what’s happening abhorrent, but the thing that shocked me all the way through has been the absolute reluctance of anyone to think, shouldn’t we at least be having some form of negotiations?”
