The cartoon character, Handala, created by cartoonist Naji Al-Ali in 1969 pops up in College protests. Palestinian artist Malak Mattar's paintings on view at the Roberto Ferruzi Gallery in Venice, Italy. The show features "No Words" (2024) described on Instagram as "the largest documentation of the unfolding genocide in Gaza". "Growing up in Gaza, Handala was a very emotional symbol.
